Superman speaks with General Lane.

Superman uses his Super-breath to put out the fires before the fire department arrives and leaves behind his calling card with an apology. He then meets with General Lane having a conversation about heroics and accountability. Superman intends to speak to the President. Superman is then interrupted by Emil, who uses a signal watch with a special frequency only Superman can hear. Superman places his bluetooth ear-piece in his ear to communicate with Emil, who brings him up to speed on a situation that has occurred at S.T.A.R. Labs as a result of Lex Luthor forcing him to transfer Hank Henshaw's mind into one of his Hazardous Environment Drones. Superman leaves General Lane and flies off towards S.T.A.R. Labs as Emil continues to inform him of Henshaw's unstable outbreak and that his cybernetic body is on the same level as Superman's own strength.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Henshaw releases his rage upon Lex Luthor for the shuttle incident and for transferring his mind into a cybernetic body that he can't feel. Luthor tries to justify his motives as being good, but Henshaw doesn't believe him and attempts to murder him; he is stopped by his wife Terri Henshaw, who blames Superman for failing to rescue Hank in time. Superman arrives on the scene and Henshaw explains that when he sees Superman, he feels pain as he begins to attack him. Superman tries to fend off Henshaw's attack as well as reason with him, but to no avail as Henshaw loses control of his mind due in part to the unstable transfer of his mind into the droid. Superman throws Henshaw through a wall with his super-strength, which causes Henshaw's body to break into pieces momentarily until he initiates self-repairs and rebuilds his cybernetic body into a better equipped body to challenge Superman. Henshaw then declares since Superman can't save everyone, he'd replace him. Henshaw throws Superman through ten buildings. Superman tries again to reason with Henshaw after punching some sense into him. Superman manages to disconnect Henshaw long enough to calm him down and returns him to S.T.A.R. Labs and places him in an isolation unit where he is connected to a computer interface. Superman meets with Terri, informing her that he's made special arrangements for her to see her husband whenever she wants to. Before he leaves, Superman talks to Henshaw, who apologizes to him and asked Superman how he manages to do the right thing.

Earth-2 Chloe dying.

Meanwhile, Oliver and Chloe meet the survivor of the ship crash. It is Chloe's counterpart from Earth-2. Earth-2 Chloe explains what has happened in her timeline before she is killed by an unknown supervillain. Her last words reveal that Earth-2 has been destroyed.

The next morning in Metropolis, Superman pays a visit to Lex Luthor at LexCorp as repairs are constructed upon his windows destroyed from Superman's last visit. Superman attempts to apologize for misjudging Lex during their last encounter, only to discover that the radiation leak from Guardian shuttle incident was no accident, but instead was a means for Lex to coat Superman with an isotope radiation specifically designed as a non-harmful compound with a signature half-life of around 500 years that he can use to track Superman's whereabouts anywhere on Earth with his satellites. Superman realizes what this means and angrily threatens Lex this isn't over as he leaves.

Superman telling Lois the bad news.

Floating high above the Daily Planet rooftop, Clark awaits Lois who arrives hoping to find "Clark Kent" only to see Superman instead. Superman tells her that "Clark Kent" will be taking an extended leave of absence because Lex Luthor is tracking him with radiation, and while the compound is in his system, Clark could place the life he's built with Lois at risk if he reassumes his civilian identity. Lois is angry with this startling turn of events and wants to hurt Lex, but Clark forbids it. Lois then suggests that Clark use his Heat vision to destroy Lex's satellites but Clark says that isn't the answer either. Clark tries to comfort Lois, but she is still uneasy about the whole situation; Clark reassures her that he'll find away to come back home to her. He kisses her tenderly, then flies off.
