Early life[]
Tales of the Weird & Unexplained was one of Chloe's favorite books growing up; she lost it during her move to Smallville in 2000 during the eighth grade.
When Clark showed Chloe around the Kent Farm for the first time, she told Clark in the loft about losing the book. Clark used his super speed to check a copy of the book out of the Smallville public library for her, and Chloe kissed him in gratitude. (Abyss)

For Chloe's birthday in 2009, Clark prepared a vintage copy of Tales of the Weird & Unexplained as a gift and asked Oliver Queen to give it to her, because he was away with Bart Allen "dealing with the crisis in Keystone". She found it both thoughtful and a little disturbing due to her recent marriage breakdown with Jimmy Olsen. (Hex)
