- Perry (written by Mark Verheiden) - Perry White, a once promising journalist whose career was destroyed by Lionel Luthor, arrives in Smallville in search of alien stories for a tabloid news show. In spite of being constantly inebriated, Perry believes he has witnessed Clark using his extraordinary speed, so he devises a dangerous scheme to expose Clark's superpowers. Meanwhile, Lex learns that Perry has powerful incriminating evidence of Lionel's shady past.
- Velocity (written by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer) - Jason Dante threatens to kill Pete Ross. Clark has to lie, steal, and cheat to save his friend. Meanwhile, Lana discovers that Adam Knight is Chad Nash, Chloe discovers that Adam is taking a serum of strange platelets, and Lex blackmails his physician, Lia Teng.

- Spell (written by Steven S. DeKnight) - After Lana touches a spell book written in the 1600s, she, Lois and Chloe become possessed by witches that had been burned at the stake. The three witches come back seeking revenge and searching the Stones of Power, wreaking havoc on the town in the process. Clark attempts to stop the witches but they strip him of his powers and force him to reveal the location of the stone he hid in the cave.
- Recruit (written by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer) - Clark is approached by Metropolis University for recruitment and meets Geoff Johns, a former Smallville resident. It soon becomes apparent that he is using his powers to paralyze anybody who gets in his way... including Lois.
- Blank (written by Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders) - Kevin, a boy who can cause people to temporarily lose their memory, turns his powers on Clark and causes him to have total amnesia. Chloe looks after him and teaches him about his superpowers while simultaneously trying to keep them secret. On his trip down memory lane, Clark meets Lana and falls in love all over again. Lex takes advantage of the situation and convinces Clark to tell him about a secret room behind the back wall in the cave.

- Exposed (written by Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders) - Jack Jennings, Jonathan's oldest friend and the current state senator of Kansas, comes to Smallville to visit. However, after a young stripper turns up dead, it is revealed that she was Jennings' mistress, making him the prime suspect in the murder investigation. Chloe and Lois search for answers, but things take a dangerous turn when Lois is kidnapped.
- Vengeance (written by Al Septien) and Turi Meyer) - Clark discovers the new intern at the Daily Planet - a bespectacled, bumbling woman named Andrea Rojas - is actually a masked avenger who fights crime at night. Meanwhile, Clark's bottled-up grief threatens to get the best of him.
- Void (written by Holly Harold) - Still distraught over her break-up with Clark, Lana experiments with a dangerous serum that allows her to flat-line and see her deceased parents again. A worried Clark rushes to save Lana from hurting herself, but ends up being injected with the kryptonite-laced serum by a rogue doctor. When Clark flat-lines, he is able to talk to his recently deceased father, who warns him that Lionel knows his secret. Meanwhile, Lionel continues to get closer to Martha.

- Reunion (written by Steven S. DeKnight) - As teenagers, Lex and Oliver went to the same prep school, where Oliver and his friends bullied Lex and his only friend Duncan. Eventually, Lex turned on Duncan to gain their acceptance. Lex and Oliver return to the school for an alumni gathering, and are startled when Oliver's old pals are killed in violent and mysterious accidents that point to Duncan. Meanwhile, Clark sees satellite photos that show four other craters were created the day he escaped from the Phantom Zone, causing him to believe that others may have followed him.
- Noir (written by Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders) - Lana is shot at the Daily Planet by a mysterious gunman. Jimmy is knocked out while studying photographs of the scene and dreams about a 1940s version of Smallville.
[edit] Season Eight
- Bride - Chloe and Jimmy are both excited about their wedding day. Meanwhile, Oliver tells Clark he thinks he’s discovered where Lex is hiding; however, when he arrives in Cuba, Oliver is shocked to find Lana Lang instead. Chaos ensues when Doomsday crashes the wedding and kidnaps Chloe.
