- "Lois, you're a great reporter all on your own. You don't need a hero or some gimmick to make a headline." - The Blur to Lois, Stiletto
Lois Lane is a renowned reporter working for the Daily Planet, Clark Kent's fiancee, and the bold outspoken cousin of Chloe Sullivan. Prior to that, she was a waitress at the Talon, campaign manager for Jonathan Kent when he ran for Kansas State Senate and chief of staff for Martha Kent a U.S. Senator for Kansas, and a reporter for the Metropolis Inquisitor.
Since living at the Kent Farm for most of what should have been her freshman year of college, Lois has grown quite close to the Kents, even seeing Martha Kent as the mother she never had. Her relationship with Clark was initially full of teasing that sometimes got the best of them; however, they also looked after each other and offered each other advice. Eventually Lois and Clark became each other's closest friends outside of Chloe, but their teasing continued without fail.
Lois was the Maid of Honor at Chloe's wedding in November 2008. During the wedding, she finally was willing to show her feelings toward Clark and they almost shared a kiss, until Lana Lang showed up and interrupted them, Lois was upset and disappointed and found herself talking to Oliver, who called her out on her feelings toward Clark. The wedding ended disastrously when a raging monster kidnapped Chloe and severely injured Chloe's husband, Jimmy Olsen. Jimmy was transferred to Star City for care and Lois accompanied him, stating that she would stay with him until she heard from Chloe again. She finally returned a month later, after Jimmy was well and Lana's departure.
After that, she got closer to the Red-Blue Blur by temporarily disguising herself as a superhero named Stiletto. Clark decided to help Lois feel better about herself and her work after a dry spell at work. She spoke to the Red-Blue Blur before he confronted Doomsday and arranged to meet with him face-to-face, but she got into a fight with Tess Mercer and found the Legion ring Clark had left behind, which transported her a year into the future.
Clark was shown to be a broken man after Jimmy's death and Lois' disappearance, only showing any connection with his human side when it involved looking for Lois. Three weeks later, Lois returned with no memories of her trip other than a vivid dream. It was at this point in time Clark's feelings were shown as really beginning to change where Lois was concerned, showing that the romantic feelings were not as one sided as they originally were.
After five years of friendship, Lois and Clark fell passionately in love and decided to become a couple. Around the same time, Lois started helping the Blur, and came to the realization that she wanted to feel a higher purpose in life. Everything was seemingly fine for a while, but as time went on, Lois and Clark both continued to hide things from one another and their relationship began to strain. When Lois saw that Clark didn't seem to understand her need to do something important with her life, she decided to break up with him for the time being. While she loved him, she needed time to figure out what to do with her life.
Later as Zod was masquerading as the Blur, he revealed his identity to Lois and started to manipulate her into believing that Clark was a threat and was in possession of the Book of Rao. Clark tried to warn Lois about Zod, but when he refused to admit to the secrets he was keeping from her, she launched an investigation of her own. Lois gave Clark one more chance to come clean, telling him that Perry White asked her to go to Africa for work, hoping Clark would just be honest with her and ask her to stay. Clark did not tell her the truth about the Book of Rao and his involvement with Zod, instead he told her to go to Africa, upsetting her. Lois stole the Book of Rao from Clark while they were saying goodbye, intending to give it to Zod. Lois then discovered that Zod was not the Blur when he couldn't answer a question that the real Blur would know. Zod then tried to kill Lois, but she was saved by the Blur. Lois encountered the real Blur who shared a very passionate kiss with her in a darkened alley, after which she realized that Clark and the Blur were the same person.
After the kiss that opened her eyes to the truth, Lois made the decision to not tell Clark that she knew who he was. Instead, she found ways to not notice what Clark was doing so he could run off if needed. She was also acting as a supporter for Clark's alter-ego, telling Clark how great the Blur was and how much she needed him; trying to give Clark more confidence in himself while he was surrounded by anti-hero sentiment. When it became clear to her that Clark didn't realize that she knew the truth and that she was a weakness for his enemies to go after, she decided to go to Africa to work with Perry.
After a couple weeks of staying in Egypt, Lois returned to Metropolis, much to Clark's delight. The duo became partners at The Daily Planet again, and it was obvious that they wanted to resume their romance as well, but both were afraid to do so.
Lois and Clark have since admitted their love, followed by Clark revealing his secret to her. Clark received his own startling revelation that Lois already knew. Clark proposed to Lois, declaring his lifelong commitment to her by placing a ring on her finger after she happily accepted.
- "Call me crazy, but I've always been a firm believer that beauty-- it's on the inside." - Lois,
- "The only people that say that are the ones who already have it on the outside."- Dr. Fine, Facade
Lois is a tall, physically fit, and attractive Caucasian woman with long dark brunette hair, hazel eyes and a charming pearl-white smile. Since her arrival, Lois has had various clothing styles that she has worn that have consisted of a jacket, various tank tops or t-shirts, jeans, and various footwear, which have one particular common trait within them of the primary colors of red, blue, and yellow with the occasional white, pink, and purple added into the mix. Lois has also had various hairstyles as well, most notably changing her hair color from light brown with highlights to a darker brown hue. Sometimes she wears her hair in a ponytail, a short bun, a Dutch braid or even a French twist.
Lois would also find herself in precarious situations while chasing after a story where she'd have to dress in various costumes and disguises that for the most part are provocative in detail that give an adequate display of her physical beauty.
When Lois joined the Daily Planet as a reporter, she began to wear a much more professional business attire wardrobe that would consist of a suit jacket, a trench coat, a vest, a dress blouse, a dress skirt and high heels. She has also worn evening dresses on special occasions as well. Since her relationship with Clark developed into a passionate romance, Lois has worn some of Clark's flannel shirts as well as his glasses as a sign of affection. Lois wears a heart shaped necklace that is a Kent family heirloom, given to her by Martha Kent.
Lois' childhood and youth was spent on different army bases with her father, General Sam Lane, whom she refers to as "The General." As a result of her upbringing, Lois is strong, resourceful, and persistent. She is a slightly impulsive, if not head-strong woman. Lois is intelligent and has an extremely witty sense of humor. She is often considered one of the funniest members of Smallville. Always quick with a joke or a clever comeback, she often uses sarcasm and random, obscure references to illustrate her point. She takes charge of, or takes over in most situations. Lois is wildly brave, at times, and often risks her life by boldy crashing towards her goal, only to have to either frantically talk her way out of or physically defend herself in dangerous situations.
Lois' familiar relationships give great insight into her motivations and actions. Though Lois is impulsive, she can be mature beyond her years, and often gives wise advise to her friends. She is as close as a sister to her cousin Chloe and is very protective of her. Lois has been shown to bravely do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of her loved ones. Her nickname for Clark is "Smallville" and verbally spars with him almost every time they are together (Lois almost always wins these challenges). On numerous occasions, Lois has also displayed her fierce determination to protect Clark's secret. She also strongly believes in Clark, and is determined to help him fulfill his destiny.
Lois' tough exterior seemingly covers underlying insecurities. She desperately seeks approval from her father, even though she feels like he abandoned her for his military duties after the death of her mother when Lois was 6 years old. She blames herself for her sister Lucy's failures, but is full of pride and admiration of her accomplishments. In addition, she has described herself as a "screw-up" and freely acknowledges when she has worsened a situation. She also talks without thinking, causing her to often seem insensitive, but usually regretfully so.
Lois has a tendency to deal with her emotions using alcohol. Her drunkenness at Chloe and Jimmy's engagement party in Committed was presumably due to her belief that Chloe was marrying the wrong man. Later in Bride when her almost-kiss with Clark was interrupted by the reappearance of Lana Lang, Lois was seen grabbing an entire bottle of champagne, Her binge drinking sometimes resulted in unfortunate consequences: she was kicked out of Metropolis University for drinking, and embarrassed herself by giving an offensive toast at Chloe and Jimmy's engagement party. Although the time Lois most regrets her use of alcohol, is when she gets kicked out of Met U in Recruit.
Due to Lois's unique personality and perceived shortcomings (stubbornness, boldness, lack of shame), she is often misunderstood or underestimated (sometimes both). Throughout the series, newspaper editors, Lana Lang, Lionel Luthor, Lex Luthor, and even Clark Kent and Chloe Sullivan have implied that they did not expect Lois to achieve much. However, Lois's unique personality is exactly how she has managed to succeed, as a journalist, and as an investigator for the Justice League.
Lois enjoys playing video games. She greatly enjoyed the video game console given to Clark by an appreciative Graham Garrett in Fade and referenced playing "Guitar Hero" in Bloodline. and 1980s rock music. (Exposed, Crimson, Committed, Bloodline)
Lois is willing to do anything to get a story, including getting dressed up as a stripper, prison guard, vixen fighter, French maid, superheroine, golden bunny girl or a dominatrix. Despite this, she has been uncomfortable with using her sexuality outside of harmless flirting or a personal relationship; her exotic dance routine was clumsy until she was almost completely done with it, and her dominatrix routine was equally uncomfortable.
There is one exception to Lois' willingness to do anything for a story: she has been willing to put her support for heroes over her own career. Lois has said that her "worst fear in the world is to be alone in the world without heroes." She has refused to reveal both Green Arrow and The Blur's secret identities even though they would have been huge stories.
Lois is, in many ways, like Clark's superhero persona: she believes in truth and justice, much like Clark and she goes to great lengths to fight social injustice as a reporter, and these traits in fact led him to fall in love with her. Her willingness to put herself in harms way for justice, shows that she is an altruistic spirit with a strong moral compass.
There is one down-side to her moral compass however. Although generally open-minded, in the beginning of the series she tended to see the world in black and white. Because of this she openly expressed her disapproval if someone did something she didn't like, almost disregarding other people's feelings in the process. But as time goes by, and Lois becomes more exposed to the ambiguities of life, she becomes more sensitive about what she says about the decisions of others and develops an even more accepting personality.
Lois is a strong individual who has always stayed true to who she is. She is honest and only puts up a pretense when she is working undercover. Even so, she had trouble fully embracing her gifts in the beginning of the series. Case in point, Lois repeatedly denied her talent in journalism, despite growing evidence proving otherwise. But as she began to accept her prodigious investigative skills and learned to use them for the greater good, she came to fully emprace her identity.
Clark Kent revealed to a Lois from a parallel universe all the qualities he found most appealing about his Lois such as her ability to protect him by any means necessary, her loyalty and bravery in the face of danger and that she's a force to be reckoned with. But most importantly her unique ability to see right through him, straight into his heart and soul. (Luthor) Carter Hall mentioned how Lois was meant to be with Clark because she is able to make his burden of responsibility as a hero easier to bear, as well as to offer him as much comfort and support to never give up his never ending battle. (Shield)
Lois's moral integrity and status as a "normal" human who is not a "superhero", helps Clark maintain his connection with humanity and helps him maintain his moral principles.
Mera also commented on how Lois is exactly the type of woman Clark needs that treats him as her equal, not superior. (Patriot) Brainiac 5 mentioned what a remarkable woman she is, as well as telling him that she and Clark were destined to be together. (Homecoming)
Powers and AbilitiesEdit
Lois Lane possesses no superhuman abilities.
Physical Prowess: Lois gets daily exercise by running, swimming, and practicing martial arts. During her many exploits, Lois often demonstrates her above average athleticism. For example, she was able to easily pin Clark Kent while she was under the influence of Isis, even though (powers or no powers) he is much bigger than she is.
Highly Skilled Hand-to Hand Combatant: Lois had earned a third-degree black belt in Karate by the events of Fade and as such, she could already take down multiple people larger than herself. Throughout the series Lois has been able to hold her own in many fights. Following her first arrival in Smallville, Lois was able to defeat an armed soldier with ease. Lois also would have defeated the deadly assassin Roulette in hand-to-hand combat if Roulette hadn't had put a gun to her head at the last second. She along with Night Wing were able to hold her own against multiple armed men. Lois has proven to be one of the best non-superpowered combatants out there, being able to stand her ground against some of the best hand-to-hand combatants in the world, including the superhero Green Arrow.
Weapons proficiency: Lois has been seen firing side arms and sniper rifles with great skill. She also can throw knives with deadly accuracy.
Linguistic Intelligience: Lois is fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
Expert Investigative Journalist: Perhaps Lois's greatest gift is her skill in investigative journalism. Despite not acquiring a college degree in journalism, Lois's innate investigative skills have allowed her to rise through the ranks of reporting with tremendous speed. She started working for the Metropolis Inquisitor for a short period of time, but after she wrote an expose on paranormal events, she was asked by an editor to work for The Daily Planet, the most influential news paper in the United States. After only three years of working in the Planet's basement offices, Lois was promoted to the penthouse offices of the Senior Correspondents. Perry White, a former award-winning reporter, said that Lois's skill with investigative journalism will take her to unbelievable heights of success. Lois is now considered the best reporter in The Daily Planet and one of the greatest journalists of her time. She has been able to uncover multiple, large-scale conspiracies throughout the course of her career. For example, she was able to find out Tess was trapped in Lex's mind as an artificial being. Her prodigious investigative skills have also allowed her to gain honorary membership in the Justice League as their investigator. When it comes to investigative reporting, Lois Lane has no equal.
Military Knowledge: As a military-brat, and daughter of General Sam Lane, Lois is strategic and won't back down easily. Her years of living on different military bases around the world have taught her much about military operations and strategy. Her knowledge of the inner-workings of the military has proven very useful in her investigations, especially when they involve warfare. Whenever Lois is in a combat situation, she uses clever tactics in order to survive. Her most commonly used tactics are distraction, persuasion, and surprise.
Alcohol Tolerance: She has an impressive alcohol tolerance, able to drink extensive amounts of alcohol and maintain consciousness. She won a drinking contest with a football player in Recruit and against Carter Hall in Shield.
- She was killed with a knife but brought to life by her cousin Chloe's resurrection power. (Phantom)
- She was infected with the zombie virus, but cured by an antidote created by Clark Kent's blood. (Rabid)
Still, considering the numerous dangers she faces on a daily basis, it is quite impressive that she has not "died" more than twice. Many other members of Smallville have died many more times than this.
Lois is the daughter of General Sam Lane and Ella Lane. Lois was born around 1986; she was about three or four when the first meteor shower hit Smallville. Lois spent her formative years as an army brat, following her career military father around the world. Her mother died from cancer when Lois and her younger sister, Lucy were both very young; Lois was six at the time. Later, Sam sent Lucy to boarding school, while Lois traveled around with him during her youth. She had a school romances with Wes Keenan, who was also an army brat and had a childhood romance with him in grade school. Later in her high school years, Lois had an M1 Abrams Tank take her to prom. Lois also dated Steve Trevor at one point.
When Chloe is kidnapped in the season one episode Obscura, Clark and Pete are in the Talon discussing why Chloe has not called them from Metropolis to let them know she's all right. Pete suggests that she may just be out partying with her cousin, when in reality she was kidnapped and never made it to Metropolis. While it is never confirmed, Lois and Lucy Lane are the only cousins that Chloe ever mentions. Later in the same episode Chloe's father Gabe Sullivan mentions that he tried calling Chloe's cousin but it keeps going to voicemail.
When Chloe is working at the Daily Planet as an intern columnist, she suggests using the name of her cousin — "Lois Lane" — as a pseudonym, because she has never been interested in a career in jornalism.
- "Uh, no hard feelings here, Cuz, but unlike you, the last thing I want to be is a reporter."
- "Yeah, God. What could be worse than, you know, uncovering the truth and protecting the public"
- "And sticking your nose in other people's business."
- "Like I said. You'd be perfect." Lois, and Chloe,- Facade
Lois came to Smallville to investigate Chloe Sullivan's murder, after she found a video diary Chloe made addressed to Clark Kent, regarding her information on Lionel Luthor. Driving through the countryside, a bolt of lightning struck the cornfield in front of her. When she got out to investigate, she found a naked and disoriented Clark Kent, returned to Earth as Kal-El. Lois took him to the Smallville Medical Center where he was recognized by his mother, Martha Kent. Upon learning that she had indeed found Clark Kent, Lois visited the Kent Farm the next day to ask Martha if they knew anything about Chloe's death. Martha warned her not to get tangled with Lionel Luthor.
When Kal-El was restored as Clark, he offered to help her solve Chloe's death. They investigated together and found Chloe alive. Lois stayed with the Kents until her father, General Lane came to collect her, she then left to start her first semester at Metropolis University.
However, she later learned that she failed her last semester of high school, as she did not have enough credits to graduate. General Lane ordered her to enroll in Smallville High to finish. The Kents again offered to let her stay and she did so while she attended high school.
During her time at Smallville High, Lois wrote for the school newspaper, the Smallville Torch. Although Lois did not seem enthusiastic about journalism, she often teamed up with Clark and Chloe for various investigations as they worked together to find out the truth about meteor infected humans in Smallville.
She helped investigate a strange love potion that infected Chloe and wrote an article about plastic surgery that won her some acclaim from Torch readers. Through it all, Lois and Clark continued to squabble, trading sarcastic remarks back and forth and generally frustrating each other.
On Chloe's eighteenth birthday, Lois was possessed by a 17th Century witch, Brianna Withridge. With Lana and Chloe also possessed by witches themselves, they joined a wild party and stripped Clark of his powers. When he recovered his powers, all three girls were restored to normal.
After Clark (under the influence of red kryptonite) and Alicia Baker attempted to wed in Las Vegas, Lois was shown to be very critical of their relationship, even making inappropriate and public comments about it. Meanwhile, Lois went on a date with Tim Westcott and found out he was trying to murder Jason and Lana because of their unnatural relationship (age difference). Tim then proceeded to kill Alicia, angering Clark almost to the point of murdering Tim, Lois was able to reach out to Clark and stopped him from killing Tim.
Shortly after it began, Lois's stint in college came to a disastrous end when she was wrongly accused of attacking a Met U football player and expelled for violating the drinking policy. When she discovered the real assailant, Geoff Johns, he proceeded to paralyze her, placing her in an underground water tank to drown. Clark saved her just in time. Unable to admit to her father what had happened, she asked the Kents if she could come back to stay with them until she figured something out.
While returning to the Kent farm to set up residence, she accidentally hit a dog with kryptonite-induced super strength. The dogs original owners were using "Einstein" and another dog to rob people, but "Einstein" ended up turning against his owners and bonded with Clark and Lois, even though she is allergic to dogs. Lois suggested naming the dog "Clarky" because he had a talent for annoying her, but in the end they decided on naming him "Shelby" after Martha's childhood dog.
Lois was reunited with her sister, Lucy, who came to Smallville to ask her sister to help her resolve a situation with a European loan shark. The two were later kidnapped during Lucy's attempt to extort money from Lex. When Lucy skipped town with Lex's money, Lois blamed herself for the way Lucy turned out. For the first time, Lois talked to Clark openly about how her father brought her up. And clark assure Lois that she is a good big sister.
Around the time of Clark's prom, a student named Dawn Stiles began to possess people in Smallville. After Dawn possessed Lois, she and Clark went to prom together, resulting in much confusion for Lois when her own personality was restored. Although Clark offered to dance with her, she encouraged him to dance with Lana instead.
On the way home one evening, Lois hit a dog, Shelby, and brought him to the Kent Farm. The dog turned out to possess super-strength and Clark decided to keep him. Soon afterwards, Lois also joined Martha Kent as a part-time waitress in Talon.
On Clark's last day of high school, Lois helped him locate Chloe and Lana, who had both gone missing. Suspecting Brendan Nash took them, Clark and Lois located a warehouse in which Brendan had set up a fake high school. Lois found her own way inside, but she was attacked by Brendan and converted into a wax statue. Brendan almost shattered her with a bat, but Clark blocked the strike and saved all three girls from being killed; when Brendan died, she and the others were restored to normal.
The day of Clark's high school graduation, Lois announced to the Kents that she and her father would be leaving to go find her sister. However, the second meteor shower prevented her from leaving and she watched the devastation that laid waste to the town.
- "Oh and about that lap dance, if you decide to tell anybody about it, your Elmer Fudd nightlight will make a very public appearance." - Lois Lane to Clark Kent, Exposed
After the meteor shower of 2005, Lois went to look for the Kents at the barn and found them both alive, but Martha was seriously injured. She helped Jonathan take her to the hospital where she was assaulted by Kryptonians Nam-Ek and Aethyr. They let her go when Lana Lang diverted their attention by telling them what they wanted to know. Lois then continued her original plan to leave with General Lane in search of her sister.
Soon afterward, Lois returned to Smallville and moved back into Kent Farm and got her old job back at the Talon, much to the annoyance of Clark. At Crater Lake, Lois hit her head while diving and almost drowned. Clark went in to save her, but was beat by an another swimmer, Arthur Curry. They connected and kissed, but was caught by Clark walking in on them. Clark became extremely rude to Arthur, and Lois told Clark to back off, thinking that he's jealous of Arthur. Clark and Lois eventually made up and soon afterward Arthur Curry left town. Lois was very disappointed, but Clark told her that she'll find someone more special than Arthur someday.
Lois and Chloe found themselves in the middle of a murder investigation after receiving a call from an exotic dancer from the Windgate Club. Lois is forced into an uncomfortable position when they get caught by being passed off as a dancer, and is forced to perform in order to continue the investigation. She is almost taken out of the country until she was saved unknowningly by Clark, She thanks Clark for his efforts in saving her and they part as friends.
Shortly after, Lois moved out of the Kent's and into the apartment above the Talon and started to spend more time with Chloe in the nights at the Daily Planet.
During Jonathan and Lex's Senate race, Lois confronted Lex and suggested he bow out before someone dug up incriminating information on him. Lex was unconcerned, which fueled her passion even more. She convinced Chloe to help her dig up information on Lex that would make him lose the race. They attempted to investigate Warehouse 15, but were thwarted by security. Lois was disappointed to come up empty-handed, and Chloe suggested she become a reporter. Lois commented that she would never be able to stand all of the unanswered questions.
After Lois criticized the image his campaign manager was portraying of Jonathan Kent, Jonathan fired him and hired Lois to manage his bid for Senate. She hung up posters, arranged rallies, and managed his finances. When Samantha Drake a student obsessed with Lex Luthor attempted to kill Jonathan, she tried to force Lois to shoot him. With Clark's help (he caught the bullet), Lois was able to fight her off.
When Jonathan confronted her about taking money from Lionel Luthor, she did not inform him that it was Martha who originally accepted Lionel's offer and instead took the blame herself. Later, when Martha clarified the situation, Jonathan apologized to her.
The day Jonathan won the election actually happened twice, due to Jor-El reversing time - the second time Lois was about to get electrocuted from falling off of a stool in the Talon apartment, she was saved by Clark instead of Lana. She later attended Jonathan's funeral with Chloe soon after.
When Chloe was possessed by the spirit of a murdered girl, she seemingly tried to kill herself and Lois took her to the hospital. Lois felt guilty about Chloe's condition and was extremely concerned for her safety. Later, Lois and Chloe were abducted by the girl's killer Michael Westmore, who almost killed them both. With Clark's help, they were able to free Chloe from the spirit and escape being murdered.
Lois was the first to encounter a hypnotized Clark after he met the evil Simone after seeing them making out behind the Talon. Chloe enlisted Lois' help to try and stop Clark from leaving with Simone and killing Lex. When Martha became hypnotized as well, she almost shot Lois, but Chloe stopped her just in time.
When Martha's chief of staff was murdered, she took in her foster daughter, Maddie Van Horn. However, while Lois was in charge of watching Maddie, she encountered Maddie's murderous father, Tyler McKnight. Lois was injured when McKnight shattered a car window and sent the glass flying towards her. Lois felt great guilt and disappointment with herself for letting Maddie get taken. Martha later hired Lois as her new Chief of Staff.
Lois was wined and dined by the wealthy Graham Garrett after Clark saved his life and he met her at Clark's house. He began to lavish her with expensive and exotic dates and Lois started to feel more attracted to him. Without her knowing, Garret began to spy on her and after Chloe revealed Graham to be a hired hit-man and a killer, Lois talked to Martha about why she always attracted to bad boys, but Martha assured her that she had similar experiences at Lois' age, and tells Lois that the reason they date the wrong people is so that they can recognize the right person.
On Clark's birthday, Lois made him an irregular blue rum cake and gave him a journal, so that he would hopefully find some way to release all the feelings he kept bottled up about Lana and maybe move on with his life. Later, Lois met Lana at the Talon and realized that she was in a relationship with Lex and offered an ear and had a three hour conversation with Lana about the status of her relationship with Lex. When Clark was depressed because of the developing relationship between Lex and Lana, Lois tried to reassure him by reminding him he will find someone someday that may not be Lana.
When Martha and Lois were scheduled to attend a conference in Washington D.C., their flight was cancelled and then Lionel offered them the LuthorCorp jet and Martha accepted. When they started noticing certain surroundings that shouldn't be there like mountains in the distance, Lois tries to get a hold of the pilot to find out what was going on, but he didn't respond as the pilot turned out to be Brainiac leading them to their demise. She tried to get the door open and starts to realize that he turned the oxygen off which made Martha pass out but Lois was able to get the emergency oxygen tank out, but she soon passed out as well before she could reach for them and actually use them.
- "The thrill of discovery, the clacking of keys, the scent of fresh ink. I think I've finally found my calling." - Lois Lane on her first foray into journalism. Sneeze
Lois and Martha's plane crashed near the Fortress of Solitude. She awakened for a time while there, but later told at the hospital that she only vaguely remembered the structure and thought it was heaven. Clark told her that maybe she hallucinated, but she insisted that it was real. Clark expressed that he was glad she was okay and spontaneously hold her hand, making Lois uncomfortable and she awkwardly pulled away.
Lois was jogging when the Kents' barn door came crashing out of the sky and land close to her. She was determined to discover what made it fly off the barn and relentlessly investigated, despite Chloe's attempts to get her to drop the subject. She wrote an article for the Daily Planet, but Chloe discouraged her, trying to protect Clark, and seemingly doubting it was good enough to be published. Undeterred, she successfully shopped her story to the Metropolis Inquisitor and received her first byline and then she began moonlighting for the Inquisitor.
Lois was close to accepting a job when she met Oliver Queen and accidentally insulted him, thinking he was the messenger boy for Queen Industries. She was sternly chastised by Martha and went to his loft to apologize. He accepted, but only if she attended Lex Luthor's costume ball as his date. At the end of the night, she denied Oliver a kiss, saying he would have to earn it.
Enamored, Oliver continued to woo her, and they began a relationship. When Oliver met Clark, he commented on Clark's "feelings" for Lois, which both Lois and Clark quickly brushed off. While attending a fund-raiser with Oliver, Lois witnessed the Green Arrow stealing a rare diamond necklace off Martha's neck and vowed to find the man behind the mask. She wrote an article about him, dubbing him the "Green Arrow Bandit." Later, she was captured by crooks who also wanted to know who the Green Arrow was and was rescued by the Green Arrow himself. Lois blamed him for her harrowing experience and was about to unmask him until Clark ensured Oliver a quick escape route. Later, she told Oliver that she would not give up until she unmasked Green Arrow. She told him that she considers the Green Arrow dangerous, making Oliver concerned and worried.
Lois went with Oliver to an alumni event for Excelsior Academy and was by Oliver's side when two of his childhood friends were brutally murdered by an unseen force. She worked with Clark to investigate the mysterious deaths, intending to write a story about it. However, when she learned that the culprit was the astral projection of paralyzed Duncan Allenmeyer, who had had experimental therapy, Lois abruptly stopped, as she thought it best not to write her story given the circumstances.
Tired of his disappearing acts, Lois decided to break up with Oliver, who often left her alone for his duties as Green Arrow. Looking for Oliver, Lois encountered the Green Arrow, who threw her into a glass table and sent her to the hospital. Clark told Lois about Oliver's use of an intravenous drug, and Lois believed it explained his erratic behavior. Oliver quit taking the drug and asked Lois to take him back. She did, and they attended the Kent Thanksgiving dinner as a couple.
Lois paid Jimmy Olsen for possible footage of the Green Arrow. However, all Jimmy got was images of Green Arrow's arms and legs. Lois began to suspect Oliver was the Green Arrow and enlisted Clark's help to prove it. However, Clark and Oliver worked together to throw her off by having Clark wear Oliver's costume and end her suspicions. With Clark in Oliver's costume, they shared their first kiss, unknown to Lois. Clark's reaction to the kiss show that he enjoyed the experience, later Clark was very pleased as Lois told her tale of her kiss with the 'Green Arrow', admitting that the Green Arrow (Clark) is better kisser then Oliver.
Lois and Oliver's relationship continued until Lois confronted Oliver on his tendency to always disappear in the middle of their dates. Oliver tried to make it up to her by promising a romantic vacation. However, before their departure, Oliver backed out on the trip again due to his commitments to the Justice League and Lois declared that she would not be waiting for him. He told her that he wasn't planning on coming back to Metropolis and they parted ways in a tearful and emotional breakup.
Unable to overcome her breakup with Oliver, at a Valentine's Day party at the Talon, Lois unknowingly bought a lipstick containing a red kryptonite-based aphrodisiac and became infatuated with Clark. She started to try to seduce him and after she infected Clark with a kiss, the two almost had sex at the Queen Tower until Clark saw the engagement invitation of Lana and Lex wedding and decided to crash the party with Lois. After Clark rebuffed Lois and left with Lana, she almost hurt Chloe, but Jimmy sprayed her with the antidote and Lois when back to herself, with no knowledge of the events. The next day Lois uncomfortably showed Clark the tattoo on her breast and vaguely tried to ask him if they slept together. Clark was amused by the whole situation. He didn't tell her the whole story, but he did show her the CD she made for him, and she was clearly embarrassed.
Lois was desperate for a story for the Inquisitor. While Chloe and Clark were investigating a lethal Internet fight club, she discovered the location of the club. When she arrived, she was caught by Athena and told her she was a stripper from a nearby strip club. However, Lionel Luthor guessed her involvement and took the flash drive from her. He warned her that whoever had targeted Lana wouldn't hesitate to do away with her as well.
Lois confronted Senator Burke outside an alley and witnessed his murder by the invisible Wes Keenan. When he showed himself, Lois was shocked to recognize him as a childhood friend. The Kents suggested Lois stay on the farm for protection from Wes, but he located her anyway. However, their shared history caused Wes to disobey his orders to kill her and he apprehended her instead. With Lois' help, Wes was able to fend off his mind control long enough to explain what happened to him. She tracked it down to Reeves Dam, but when she got there, Lois was confronted by a guard who stabbed her in the stomach. Lois was able to call Chloe for help before she passed out. Mysteriously, her tears healed Lois' stab wound and she recovered, horrified to find that Chloe was the one near death, and the dam crumbling, trapping them inside.
In the collapsed dam, Lois encountered Philipe Lamont, the boy previously possessed by Bizarro while trying to escape. Clark heard her calling for help and took all three to the hospital where the doctors tried to revive Chloe. Restless, Lois instructed Clark to stay with Chloe while she went to the Luthor Mansion to search for clues that pointed to Lex's involvement with the project. There, she ran into Bizarro, who had taken Clark's form. Mistaking him for Clark, she was angered when he made a pass at her and slapped him across his face. She sneaked into LuthorCorp but was quickly caught and thrown out by Lex Luthor. Grant asked Lois to accompany him to a social function, but she turned him down. However, Lois and Grant became increasingly close.

When Grant refused to do so, Lana assaulted him and Lois tried to fend her off but Lana threw her through a glass door, knocking her unconscious. After recovering at the hospital, Grant brought her flowers and tried to warn her off the Luthor story. Lois acknowledged their growing attraction, but she refused to back off.

Lois suggested Clark apply for an internship at the Daily Planet, saying that he's meant for more than farm work. He refuses the offer and tells her that he can never work for Lex Luthor. Then she asked him about his and Lex’s past friendship and how that lasted for so long because they had nothing in common with one another, but Clark just said that sometimes people don't turn out to be who you expect.
Lois then began digging into Lex's excursions to the Arctic Circle, but Jimmy was set up by Lex to throw her off the track. She believed Jimmy, but was still skeptical about Lex's activities. After Clark and Oliver went to the Zone to investigate, Lois found out what was going on and discovered that Tess and Clark devised a plan to destroy the gateway to the Zone from the inside. Threatened with losing Clark forever, Lois threatened Tess with a gun to stop their plan from happening. After Clark returned, he went to their home in Metropolis, seeing Lois set everything up, she informed him that three weeks passed and that during that time she was patiently waiting for him to come home. She tells Clark that he should include her in his decisions if he loves her and Clark apologizes for what he has done. He then was shocked to learn that it will be only two days until their wedding.
As Clark took Lois to the Fortress for Jor-El to give them his blessing on their marriage, he accepted the union and transferred Clark’s Kryptonian powers into her for a day as a trial for both of them to understand each other lives. Thanks to this, Lois understood Clark more and how difficult it was to be in his shoes. With everything back to normal, Lois painfully told Clark she could not marry him and called off the wedding, to Clark's shock and disbelief. Despite this, Clark refused to give up on them and embraced her tenderly.
The next morning at the Daily Planet, Lois tried to avoid Clark, who was still very much determined to proceed with their wedding. Clark went so far as to tell her if she was really serious about going through with cancellation of the wedding, she would have to leave him standing at the altar.
Lois had a change of heart when Chloe intervened and informed her that when Clark do decide to embrace his abilities completely and take to the skies, he was going to need her to keep him grounded. Still unconvinced, Lois continued to believe she'll be too much of a distraction for Clark from his responsibilities to save the world. Chloe then decided to show Lois Clark's wedding vows, which finally open Lois' eyes, seeing how much Clark really loves her and that she truly was an integral and essential part of his life, Lois realized how wrong she has be.
Lois decided to get married after all and as she dressed, she was visited by Clark, who had also started to have doubts about the wedding. When Clark told her about his fear, Lois told him that although her family would not be present at the wedding, she had learned to walk alone in life and began to apologize for her behavior and to equate the situation, she slid her wedding vows under the door for him to read. After a long pause, Lois was nervous that Clark had left, Clark moved by Lois' words, assured her he's here, and would be waiting for her at the chapel. The wedding finally took place, and Lois was overwhelmed by the situation, especially because of all the guests who were waiting for her. Although nervous, Lois tried to show courage and looked throughout the church for her future husband, but could not find him, until he took her by the hand and together they began to walk down the altar.
The wedding went smoothly, but at the moment when Lois was about to take the ring and place it on Clark's finger, Chloe noticed the ring glowing and threw it into the air. It was then revealed that Oliver was possessed by the darkness. Lois and Chloe tried to escape along with the others in the chapel, but when Clark was attacked by Oliver, Lois ran back to defend him and was launched into the air by Oliver. Clark saved her and once Oliver returned to normal, they began to investigate the arrival of Apokolips.
Lois and Clark headed to the Daily Planet to discover more about what was happening and try to find Tess, and then learned that most of the people there were marked with the Omega symbol and that was what attracted the planet to them. Lois encouraged Clark to find Tess and concluded that the mastermind of Tess’ kidnapping was Lionel Luthor and Clark went to the Luthor Mansion to find him. Before he left, Lois encouraged him to go save the world, they kiss passionately and reaffirm their love. Afterwards, when Lois learned that the government planned to blow up what they called an asteroid with a nuclear missile, she decided to try to stop them because millions of lives would die in the process and infiltrated the presidential flight.
Aboard the plane, Lois attempted to get past security to speak with the President and eventually managed to manipulate her way to the room with the Secretary. She warned him what the supposed meteor really was and that their plan would result in the deaths of millions of people. Realizing that they knew what they were doing, she told them that the heroes that they had tried to destroy could save them. They agreed to give the heroes a chance, but limiting the time to five minutes.
When the plane lost altitude due to Apokolips gravitational field, Clark arrived just in time as Superman to save it from crashing. He appeared to Lois, smiling and nodding to her, reassuring Lois that everything would be alright. Then, Lois took a camera and began to record and cover the story just as the President approached her.
Season Eleven Edit
Six months after the event now referred to as "Contact", photographic evidence proving the existence of alien life adorns the internet and newspapers like the Daily Planet across the globe, instilling a mixed sense of concern, wonder, and fear. At Clark and Lois's apartment, Clark showers and brushes his teeth, talking with her about the energy ribbon - or "aurora" - that attacked the space station. As he then makes breakfast, he asks if they should return the wedding presents they received. Lois states that the wedding was postponed not cancelled, so they shouldn't have to. He notices that the 'S' shield on the Superman t-shirt she slept in doesn't look right and she mentions that it seems no one can draw it the same way twice, also given that he's just altered his suit. As they lament their independently busy lives - he with saving the world, she with becoming a preeminent reporter - Lois mentions that the Russians have already announced they will be commissioning a statue of Superman to commemorate his saving of the space station. Clark expresses his discomfort at the hero worship, but Lois assures him that it is inspiring people, just as he wanted to do with the suit. Clark states that he'd like to finally tell the world that Superman is an alien.Lois counters that with all of the concern brought on by the pictures of the aliens on Apokolips, it might not be the best time, especially with Lex Luthor making such noise about it in public. Later the same morning at Watchtower, Lois comes by with coffee and asks what has Chloe so stressed. She explains that she's trying to find out just what was the energy ribbon - or "rift," as she refers to it - that Clark saw in space. When Lois refers to her "forever-fiancé", Chloe apologizes for her Oliver being married while Clark and Lois have yet to be. Lois assures her that they will get married when the time is right, when the world is in less danger, Clark isn't trying to save it, and Lois isn't busy reporting on the danger and Clark's saving the day. As Chloe thanks Lois for the coffee, the computer completes accessing the systems on the Korolyov. With the camera feeds now online, Chloe rewinds to the incident with the rift and the debris that smashed into the station. Lois and Chloe are both shocked to see something floating amongst the debris: a spaceship. Later at one of Luthor's press conference, Lex begins his speech but is almost immediately interrupted by Lois. She asks him to where he disappeared that led to his sister declaring him dead and before resurfacing in Tess' office at the former LuthorCorp Tower on the night of her suicide, intimating that Lex might have had something to do with her death. Lex angrily assures the public that he has not forgotten about Tess and that he exiled himself from the outside world as a way of escaping the Luthor legacy. Having changed, Clark shows up and whispers to Lois that they both know Lex killed Tess but don't have any proof yet to confront him about it. Having addressed Lois' questions, Lex continues with the conference. Lex announces that in two days LexCorp will launch into orbit the first of the Guardian defense platforms. The press and public are impressed, save for Lois. She asks Lex where he will able to find a pilot for the shuttle to deliver the platform on such short notice and as a respond Lex introduces Commander Hank Henshaw.
During takeoff, Lois tells Clark she has a bad feeling about the Guardian platforms, but Clark claims it might be a good thing, as Superman can't be everywhere at once, but Lois isn't convinced. Clark claims that Hank is trustworthy, but Lois claims Lex is still dangerous. After the talk the space shuttle explodes forcing Clark to save it. Henshaw insist that Superman save his crew members first, in order to pilot the shuttle into orbit as the shuttle is leaking radiation. Superman saves the crew and returns to the shuttle as the oxygen levels reach zero and Henshaw passes out. Henshaw wakes up on a stretcher, with burns from the radiation exposure. As the paramedics begin to transport him, Superman instructs them to send him to Emil at S.T.A.R. Labs. Lois comes up to Superman, hoping for a quote, but he instead tells her that Clark will not be home for breakfast, because the explosion was not a misfire. In S.T.A.R. Labs, Lois visits Emil, in order to check on Commander Henshaw, who is being watched over by his wife. Emil explains to Lois that Henshaw is not in a coma, but has lost all motor skills due to the radiation, but is fully aware. Lois attempts to comfort Mrs. Henshaw, but she angrily blames Superman for what happened, despite knowing Henshaw's decision. Lois apologizes for the incident, but Mrs. Henshaw dismisses her attempts and leaves.
Outside of the Daily Planet, Lois angrily demands she be patched in through to her father. When he answers she argues and ridicules his decision of attempting arresting Superman, but General Lane claims to just be following orders. She calls Clark and he ask her if Sam knows his secret, saying he implied it before, but Lois claims if he did he probably wouldn't have fired at him. As the military surround Superman they begin firing, Lois seeks cover under her convertible below. The bullets deflect off of him and hit the tail rotor of one of the helicopters, which begins to fall. Superman flies in and saves Lois before the helicopter crashes onto her car, and explodes. The pilot of Sans helicopter ask if he should tell base Superman has taken a hostage, but General Lane refuses, stating Superman just saved Lois.
High above in the clouds Lois is wrapped in a romantic embrace with Clark followed by a passionate kiss.
The following morning high above on The Daily Planet rooftop, Lois goes up hoping to see Clark Kent only to find Superman. Superman tells her that Clark will be taking an extended leave of absence. Because Lex Luthor used the Guardian shuttle launch accident to coat Superman in radiation in order to track his every movements on Earth with his satellites, and Clark won't risk the possibility that the circumstance could direct Lex to interfere in his civilian life with Lois.
Lois is angry with this startling revelations and wants to hurt Lex. But Clark forbids it. Lois then suggest that Clark uses his Heat vision to destroy Lex's satellites but Clark says that isn't the answer either. Clark tries to comfort Lois but she still uneasy about the whole situation, Clark reassures her that he'll find away to come back home to her. He kiss her tenderly then flies off .
Later that night as the rest of Metropolis sleeps peacefully. Lois tearfully stands inside Clark and hers apartment staring out her window looking up to the sky where she whispered her reaffirming love to Clark knowing that he's listening to her.
3 weeks later, Clark and Lois are finally able to spend some time together by having a romantic evening at the Fortress, with the aid of Oliver's satellites blocking Lex's frequency and the Fortress' ability to shield his radiographic signature. Clark is able to enjoy an evening of pleasure with Lois while also working on finding a way to remove the isotope trail from his body.
The following Morning, Clark returns Lois back to Metropolis where he drops her off inside the Daily Planet bullpen basement. Lois arrives to see the bullpen practically empty with the exception of Jeff Hage who is sitting at Clark's desk admiring a photo of Lois & Clark. Lois startled Jeff and beings to have a little chat with her former intern assistance now turned copy boy. Lois learns the reason behind the absence of most of the reporters is due to the high level of Superman actives around the city with his newly 24'7 schedule the press have more stories to run than they can handle. Lois suggest that perhaps they should look into other stories to write but Jeff reminds her that Superman is big news and most of her front page headliners feature "The Man Of Steel". Jeff also inquires to Lois about the whereabouts of Clark to which Lois simply replies that he's keeping himself busy.
After an incident occurred on Stryker's Island Penitentiary involving Bruno Mannheim, Batman Nightwing, Superman and Green Arrow. Lois awaits for Clark a top the rooftop of the Daily Planet to contact her. Clark finds a conventional means of communication by using a blast of his heat-vision to signal to Lois of his current position in the sky above with morse code. Using a mini-telescope Lois spot him and then activates her two-way blue-tooth ear piece to conduct a conversation with Clark. After they talk over how he interrogated Mannheim with a bit of playful bantering between them, Lois confirms Joe Chill is in FBI custody. As for Toyman being the prime suspect, the answer is revealed as a no, but Lois learns that an Oswald Loomis did try to visit Toyman dozens of times before turning away. Clark reveals to Lois that he'd like to reveal his findings to Batman and he's got an idea of a means of contacting him. Lois decides to follow her own investigation into the matter further by visiting Stryker's Island to question Toyman about The Prankster and just exactly what he knows about him.At first Lois shows Toyman first hand that he's not in control this time around in the game of manipulation as he was in their previous encounter when he tricked her into attempting to kill The Blur for him. And he accepts it by revealing that The Prankster is just a pathetic imitation of him and they worked together in the Queen Industries Research and Development department before Toyman started working for Luthor.
Winslow then asked Lois if Lex has asked about him since his return which leads Lois to retort that Toyman ranks pretty low in the mind of Lex Luthor since his memory has been erased. Toyman reveals his disappointment in the turn of events but also a new piece of the puzzle in the game their playing regarding Loomis as a person who doesn't understand the concept of gamesmanship and would cheat whenever he can and that he probably stole all of his Toyman's tech weapons that were laced with Kryptonite and although Winslow promised "Clark" he wouldn't reveal his secret to the world. Loomis would probably take advantage of it and exploit it. Lois began to worry.
Meanwhile at Joe Chill's FBI Hideout in Suicide Slums Superman and Batman fight The Prankster and Mr.Freeze but ultimately leads too Chill's death and Superman wounded severely as a result of the Prankster's bullets. The News Media on site however reports the pursuit of the "Murdering Batman kidnapping a wounded Superman while being hunted by the FBI. Lois arrives to see The Batmoblie roar passed a massive police blockade guarding the safehouse and crashes into the building where Batman enters into the vehicle and escapes with Superman.
Lois quickly joins the chase by commandeering a police motorcycle and following the police and FBI who have a high speed pursuit chase with Batmobile through out the streets of Metropolis. Upon dropping off his last passenger; a bus driver doses off in the middle of the street, only to be woken up by the Batmobile impact crashing through his bus. Lois is then joined by Oliver on his arrow cycle who intercept her on route. Chloe contacts Lois via her blue-tooth ear piece to inform her that she been monitoring the situation from Watchtower as well as hacking into the traffic system to ensure no one gets hurt during the chase. Lois asked Chloe if she knows what Batman is taking Clark.Inside the Batmobile, While Batman is driving to avoid capture by the law enforcement pursuing him, Superman slowly begins to recover but is still very weaken by the kryptonite bullets that remain in his body. Realizing he was left with only one option, he reveals his identity as "Clark" and Batman asked who he can call to save him. Clark manages to and
Nightwing calls Chloe, who in turn connects her with a very emotional Lois; Nightwing gives her the situation: Superman has four Kryptonite bullets, none to the heart, but his vitals are fading. Nightwing, later, gives Batman Lois' message: get the Kryptonite out, and then expose Superman to yellow sunlight.
But as Batman says, he's already has his hands full. A road block is set up, by cops surrounded, so Batman can't "go through it" like before, so he comes up with a different idea. Shifting the front tires to a "X" position, and firing the boosters from below, the Batmobile literally goes around the road block from above. The cops, and even Lois and Ollie, are all astonished by what they just witnessed. A helicopter approaches, with an EMP on board, and Batman knows this and can't do anything about it, until Oliver messages him that he can. Oliver simply fires an arrow and goes upward to the helicopter, and scares the pilot into landing the chopper.
Nightwing takes control of the Batmobile, leading it outside the Leviathan ship. Batman performs the surgery inside the car, just as Lois arrives and she sees it happening. After getting the bullets out, Batman reprograms his armored chest emblem from Red Sun to Yellow Sun light radiation dosing Clark within its rays, just as the police report that they lost the Batman.
Inside Leviathan; Clark wakes up with Lois by his bed side, where Lois is relieved that he's recovered and is healed completely. Unfortunately she conflicted by once more compromising her Journalism career as a reporter. By not writing a story for the Daily Planet about (example: Superman's alien origins, weakness to Kryptonite etc...) due to her undying love and loyalty to Clark. Clark is touched by this but he also understand her especially when she reveals how tempting it is for her to write a complete front page headline exposé that Batman isn't a myth, and is none other than Gotham's own favorite Son: Bruce Wayne. Clark sympathize with her but tells Lois not to do it as he realize that it only fair that he reveal his Identity as "Clark Kent" to him since he accidently deduced that he was Bruce Wayne. Lois reassures him that she has no intention of reveal Bruce's identity to the world. But that Clark took a big risk in revealing his identity and her relationship with him to a stranger. Furthermore Batman's reputation has been compromised by the media as being responsible for the death of Joe Chill and having an involvement in Superman's presumed death. Barbara Gordon then enters and introducing herself to the couple and gives Clark some orange juice before he heads out to speak with Bruce. Leaving Lois alone with Barbara.
Lois jokingly tries to irritate Barbara who is attempting to squeeze fresh orange juice for Lois. while also trying to learn more about Barbara and her alias as Batman's sidekick "Nightwing". When they are interrupted by the startling appearance of Superman and Batman dressed in battle armored suits design to combat against "Kryptonite" weaponry from The Prankster towards "The Man Of Steel" and "Sub-Zero Ice" weaponry from Mr. Freeze towards "The Dark Knight".
Unbeknownst to the group, Prankster had sent a group of Intergang gunmen to finish off Superman and Batman at the location the kryptonite bullets laced with a homing beacon had lead them to at the docks near the Leviathan. They kill a dock worker, then proceed heavily armed to enter the ship, where Lois and Barbara are residing in as Bruce and Clark had left moments ago in The Batboat to take down The Prankster and Mr. Freeze.
The silent alarm system set up in the Leviathan instantly alerted Barbara of Intergangs presence approaching. Lois and Barbara prepared themselves for battle. Barbara quickly suited up as Nightwing who then responded to Lois's question regarding "Are you ready?" with a witty sarcastic response of her own. "I'm ready for an ass-kicking" Lois was slightly taken a back by Barbara's response statement and tried to fix it. But Barbara reassures her that she knows exactly what she saying with a devilish smile on her face.
Nightwing and Lois then proceed to serve up a serious ass-kicking to the group of Intergang agents. While also playful keeping score of how many operatives agents they've taken down. Lois currently leads 10-9, then the field commander of the squad approaches them with two other agents armed with guns pointed directly at Lois and Nightwing. The leader also insults the girls with a comment about fixing their make-up before their next fight. Infuriated by the comment Lois & Nightwing respond by beating the crap out of all three men. Afterward Nightwing admits and commends Lois on her ability to hold her own in a fight. Lois reveals she an army brat.
Just then, a group of armed UAV drones fire on the boat of the Leviathan set up by The Prankster, with Intergang, Nightwing and Lois still aboard, as it be begins to sink, Lois and Nightwing team-up once more this time to rescue the Intergang agents from drowning. Together they attempt to climb up towards to top of the boat before it too late. As water pressure builds around the room, Lois and Nightwing plan to use it to push them towards the door that would take them upwards. But suddenly the water around them disappears and Lois knew instantly that Superman had saved them. She expressed to Nightwing that she plans to give a great big kiss to him.
The next morning, In her office at The Daily Planet. Lois talks with Clark through her blue-tooth about her front page headline story about Superman & Batman's team up debuting exploit adventure dubbing them as "THE WORLD's FINEST". Clark is pleased that everything worked out well and that Lois still got to publish a story. Lois admits her slight disappointment in not being able to share this by-line with "Clark Kent" as she miss that. Clark agrees and tells her he'll check back with Emil on his progress to remove the radiation signature from his body. But right now he got another matter to address. Lois is left in her office looking at a photo of her and Clark smiling happily.
Later at LexCorp, Lois talks with Lex's personal assistant, Otis while waiting to speak with Lex, attempting to get him to admit to his boss' secretly nefarious nature. Lex intervenes, inviting Lois into his office. She confronts him about Psimon and what he intends to do about this and other consequences of the LuthorCorp experiments that granted people such abilities. With Tess chiding him, Lex offers Lois the company line on their corporate responsibility of past transgressions.
Lois reminds him of her first-hand knowledge of Project Ares and how the fall-out of that program brought down Reeves Dam. As Lex shows surprise regarding the dam and the two talk about regret for his actions prior to losing his memories, Tess forces Lex's body to write a note on a Post-It against his awareness, which Lois picks up. On her way out of the office, Lois reads the note and is baffled by its one word: "Help!"
Meanwhile, at the ruins of LuthorCorp's abandoned Ridge Facility, Lois takes a call from Jeff at the Daily Planet. He relays that she received a call from Simon Jones at Stryker's. She asks if he was able to make sense of the note Lex unknowingly wrote during her visit to LexCorp. Jeff says he's still working on it.
Lois enters the facility ruins and announces herself to LexCorp employees on-hand. She asks why Lex suddenly ordered cleanup of the ruins five years after the disaster that brought the building down. When the site manager tries to blame the incident on corporate terrorists, Lois informs him that heroes blew the building up to stop human experimentation. Elsewhere in the rubble, Fritz, one of the LexCorp employees, asks another if it's safe for them to be around the extraordinary amounts of meteor rock found in the ruins. He recounts how he heard rumors of people being driven crazy by the radiation and that it altered others, including a boy who could control bugs and another who controlled bees. The other employee dismisses the claims and wonders aloud why Lex would want so much meteor rock collected.
The man notices crackling arcs of yellow, red, and black electricity near the same broken glass cage that once held Bart and investigates the strange phenomenon. As Fritz announces on comms for the team to check their radiation strips, the electricity arcs like lightning and strikes him. Lois witnesses Fritz being trapped by the electricity and runs across the ruins toward him. The electricity soon builds into a charged vortex and throws Fritz across the ruins. Lois yells for an ambulance as she sprints to help the man. She's horrified to find the man's body sucked of life.
Later Lex meets with Otis to discuss the incident that occurred at the Ridge Facility. Otis informs him of only one fatality and that, so far, no press has heard of what happened. As they pass by one of the janitorial staff on their way out of the building, the janitor steals Otis' security keycards. On Level 3, the janitor is revealed to be Lois as she uses a keycard to access the floor. As she makes it past the security door, her cellphone rings. As she answers the phone, security laser alarm beams are revealed to her. She correctly guesses and thanks Chloe for the assist.
Chloe asks if Lois is there to steal the "brain machine" she asked Emil to help gather. Lois recounts what she witnessed at the Ridge Facility, as well as the mysterious note Lex left her, and says she is snooping around to get some answers. She also admits to missing Clark and needing to catch Lex in some manner of wrongdoing to compensate. Chloe suggests that Lois look in Lex's office, and when she makes her way there, she finds a green arrow with a note addressed to Lex attached.
Clark and Lois later meet on the roof of the Daily Planet Building for a bite to eat and further lament that he can't return to his "normal" life as a mild-mannered reporter. She mentions that he has burned through all of his sick days and vacation time and that their boss, Franklin Stern, is getting suspicious about his absence. Joking about having to tell him Clark's become a fireman or something else, Clark admits that he's devoted his life to bigger things now.
Regarding one of those things, Lois shows Clark pictures of the LexCorp employee, Fritz, who was thrown into a wall and superspeed aged to death. She shows him pictures of other incidents of it occurring over the past five years. She says that these "speed storms" have popped up in Keystone City, Mexico, Miami, and islands in the Pacific Ocean, and have been increasing in frequency. Clark immediately recognizes each as places Bart has been and that the storms are chasing him like the dark creature. Clark worries that he won't be able to find a way to help Bart when Lois points out that he should consult someone else who has run as fast as Bart before.
They are interrupted by Jeff and Clark superspeeds into the sky. Jeff informs Lois that he gave the note Lex had written to his roommate Bert Camp, his "contact" on the police force, and that Bert had a handwriting consultant take a look. They were able to match with 95% certainty that the handwriting belongs to Tess Mercer.
Lois finds Otis in a bar drinking and discovers that he's now an ex-employee of Lex's. Lois uses this opportunity to confront Otis about Simon Jones who called her to tell her about Lex's request for him to use his telepathic abilities to probe his mind but is prevented by Tess. Otis is shocked by this news and refuses to reveal his knowledge to Lois. Lois decides to enlisted help from Barbara Gordon to get Otis to open up.
Lois returns to her apartment and talk's with Clark on her cellphone who fills her in on Bart's death and begins to discuss preparations for a funeral. Lois asked if it would be similar to the one they had for Carter, Clark wants to do a bigger one and erect a monument statue as well. Clark then inquires Lois on her status progress on her investigation regarding Lex.Lois decides that considering how his night has been she'd tell him on his next routine flyby. However Clark tells her that he doesn't think that will be necessary anymore. Lois hears a knock at the door and is emotionally delighted and overjoyed by the sight of Clark standing in her doorway once again in his "Mild-Mannered" Persona, she leaps up into his arms and passionately embraces and kisses him. Reigned Lois decides that they get down to business immediately before bed. Lois accompanied by Superman and Green Arrow head to LexCorp plaza and confront Lex in his office to retrieve something precious to them that was stolen. Before leaving, Green Arrow was about to hit Lex with a tranquilizer dart but Lois objects and proceeds to firmly punch Lex in the face, knocking him out.
The Group gather at the Watchtower with Emil present with a new device he'd installed into the core computer net system. Tess then digitally materializes before them with tears thanking them. Lois learns that Chloe's pregnant and leaving Metropolis, and teases Oliver that their child is going to have an uncle who can fly. Oliver sarcastically responds "Don't remind me."The following morning in their apartment, Lois and Clark are having a time of intimacy in shower together that concludes with Clark washing Lois' hair. Clark admits that these were the kinds of moments he missed while he was away. Lois agrees and playful says she'll be more than happy to wash his hair the next time. As they have a lot of domestic bliss to catch up on. Clark agrees and thinks the process would move along faster if Lois wasn't leaving the country so soon.
Lois had accepted the assignment to journey to Africa to uncover the identity of the vigilante known as the Angel of the Plateau who is causing problems for the Warlords in the region.
Clark address to Lois his uneasiness and concern for her safety and feels he should be their with her. But Lois reminds him that "Clark Kent" re-emergence back the work from an extended leave will be cause for Franklin Stern to keep a close eye on him. Furthermore Lois reminds Clark of what he had previously said to Hank Henshaw regarding "Superman not imposing his will on others."
Clark tells her to be careful as he beings to don his Superman attire. Lois promises him that if anything major goes down she'll call him using the signal-watch. Lois is however more concerned how Clark will manage after what just occurred with Bart.
Clark says he will but he wonders how many more people do they have to loose. Clark hears a distress about a fire coming from an apartment building on Russell and Glosson, While Lois prepares to head to the airport with a Ferris airline ticket. Clark apologizes for not being able to fly her personally to the airport. Lois understands his duties. He profess his love for her as he flies out the window and she in turn acknowledge it and declares her love for him as well.Hours later during her flight route to Africa, Lois is questioned by both a passenger and flight attendance regarding her opinion of Superman. At first Lois is delighted to answer the questions of a little girl who poses questions about Superman's moral character if it's generally honest and pure as he portrays it. Lois confirms that it's genuine. Lois is then asked more personal questions about Superman by two flight attendances, to which Lois response that although she admire him she engaged as she shows them her ring on her finger. Unfortunately one of the attendance asked an offensive question to Lois who response by attacking the attendant and an air marshal. She is then detained at a United Nations consulate building in Tinasha, Africa. Lois is then released with the charges dropped against thanks to the efforts of Perry White.
Lois get a ride with a UN caravan vehicle transportation escort through Tinasha, where she gets to ask questions to the soldiers about the vigilante "Angel of the Plateau" who they see to think this vigilante is doing more harm than good for the local tribes and children. The caravan is suddenly caught under fire by the local terrorist cell loyal to the warlord of the regime who fire RPG weaponry at the UN transport. Lois is caught in the crossfire but manages to find protection under one of the turned over vehicles, unfortunately her wrist is caught and the signal watch she was wearing got damaged as a solider pulled her out to safety just as an incoming missile hits the same vehicle, as it flew above her head about to crash down upon her Lois is saved by a figure dressed in Red and Blue, Lois assumes it Clark and proceeds to thank him until she make a shocking discovery that her rescuer is actually Lana.
Lois witness first hand Lana being targeted by guns used by children, however her power of invulnerability cause the bullets to bounce of her body, she then convinces the children she's not their enemy. Lois grabs a snapshot of Lana leading the children away, with a camera phone belonging to a UN solider, for her front page and decides to follow them into the forest. Together they arrive at a sanctuary where Lana begins to regale Lois with her story in using her abilities to make a difference for the children, Lois then asks Lana if she had experienced any side-effect to the kryptonite absorption. Lana's response is that she had only one for which Lois doesn't make any comment.
Inside Lana's self-made sanctuary, Lois finds Lana's scrapbook, in which she is collecting articles about Superman and Lana reveals to her that the last time she left Smallville, she left her whole life behind, including Clark. She then asks her how he is doing in which Lois responds that Clark is just good, she also tells her about their relationship but avoids to tell her about their upcoming wedding, hiding her engagement ring. Then Lana reveals to Lois that helping those children feels like she finding her self again. Suddenly they hear a very noisy sound and Lana believes that someone has infiltrate into her camp and so she instantly speeds outside telling Lois to try to follow her and protect as many children as she can.
Outside John Corben appears causing havoc making Lana and a very surprised Lois enter the destruction and try to stop it. As Lana is fighting John, he and Lois explain his back story and why he went to become a hired gun after his last meeting with her. John tells her that the red kryptonite heart she gave him could not help him live a normal life and so he had to find another one. As Corben was explaining how his new heart works, it is constructed by Toyman and now can absorb kryptonite, Lois realizes what this means for Lana and tries to stop her from attacking him, but she fails. An enraged Lana proceeds to rush John and hit him but he grabs her leg and puts her in a choke hold, where John's heart inadvertently absorbs the Kryptonite fueled nanites stored underneath Lana's skin which fused with John Corben and weapons close to him allowing John to control them.
With Lana now powerless and Corben a kryptonite-laced one man Swiss army knife assassin. Lois has her worked cut out for her. Fortunately timely assistance is provided by an air UN fighter pilot unit dispatched by General Sam Lane to watch over Lois, unfortunately Corben uses his new-found telekinesis ability to obtain a helicopter blade causing the copter to crash land. Lois mentions to Lana that Clark had previously given her a signal watch to use for this type of situation but she'd lost it. Corben uses the blade to saw through a structure the girls were using as cover. As Lois and Lana run, Corben proclaims to them he's going to first finish them off then return to Metropolis and take on Superman with his newfound abilities. Both woman are in total agreement that the likely hood of this is "not going to happen".
A unit of UN soldiers appear providing cover fire for Lois and lana to escape. Their weaponry proves to be ineffective as Corben confiscates their arsenal. Lana asks Lois how their going to deal with Corben, Lois reveals that his heart is the source of his power.Corben begins to fire upon Lana, but Lois intervenes in the line of fire taken the bullet to her breast protected by her Bulletproof vest. Lana uses an unmanned truck to hit Corben while Lois uses a rocket-launcher weapon to fire upon him. Corben snatches up the weapon before Lois can uses it, Lois use a side arm gun from a UN Soldier and quickly fires causing all of Metallo's arsenal to be destroyed in the blast knocking him temporarily unconscious. Together Lois and Lana pull out Corben's kryptonite heart causing him to shut-down.
Later, Lois conducts a follow up interview with Lana, telling her she's going to drop most of the details regarding The Angels identity and Corben depowering her. Instead she'll create the story revolving around The Angel being a simple good Humanitarian Quasi Goddess who's got a hell of a right hook. Lois inquires if Lana will make a return state side, But Lana says even without her superpowers she's found purpose in protecting the children and will remain to do so just from now on she'll avoid taking on tanks this time around. Lois offers her help assuring her that Clark and the team are available to her should she need them. Before parting Lana shocks Lois by asking when's her wedding to Clark is going to take place. Lana says she saw the ring on her finger and knew before Lois tried to conceal it. Slightly caught of guard Lois manages to remain calm while also feeling a bit awkward talking about it. Lana gives her support to her expressing her happiness for the couple. Lois asked one final question before preparing to return to Metropolis is Lana happy with her life now. Lana responds that she feels better than ever even without her powers.
Upon Returning to Metropolis, Lois is reunited with Clark who was also out of town while she was away a month ago. They spend quite an evening in their apartment in which Lois falls a sleep in Clark's arms. As they hover over the bed, Clark is receives a surprising phone call from his mother requesting help. The following morning, Clark and Lois arrive together at Dulles Airport in Washington, to cover the story related to the attack on Senator Kent's the night before. Thanks to arrangement made by Perry White, The Daily Planet gets the Exclusive interview. Lois is reviled that she still has her frequent flyers mild plan and didn't get bumped to the " Domestic No Fly list" after her little stunt she had pulled on her flight to Africa. Clark reassures her that if she was banded, he'd simply fly her over himself. While Lois enjoys the notion of flying with Clark more than in an airplane she tells him that it's not wise as it might jeopardize his identity if Superman appeared in Washington as did Clark Kent yet without any proof coming in by an airline. For a brief moment Clark vanishes leaving Lois's side while she still talking to him, Lois notices and simply continues to make her way through the airport terminal. Clark returns quickly and Lois inquires what disaster did he advert this time "Bomb threat", "Fire"? Clark simply response that "No disaster too small" he then hands a toy bear to a little girl who had been previously crying for it." Lois simply congratulates Clark. Arriving at Martha's residence in Washington, The couple are treated to a good meal prepared by Martha, then inquire about how Conner settling to his new life, Martha reveals that he is currently in San Francisco attending a school founded by Jay Garrick. Lois asked Martha about the attack, Clark stress his nervousness and concern for Martha safety and uneasiness regarding the mysterious woman in white who saved Martha. Lois thinks the attack is somehow connected with the special department D.E.O. she mention her suspension when they confiscated Metallo's depowered body last month, The Lois and Clark decide that Clark will investigate the D.E.O connection and Lois will investigate Martha's mysterious savior.
Lois finds the vigilante dressed in white up on the roof near the Washington mall over looking the Washington Monument. The two woman being to bond quite instantly when they are suddenly interrupted by the appearance of some winged creatures, which, as the vigilante says, come from a place of legend and magic.
Lois manages to hold her own against these creatures impressing the vigilante whose name is revealed to be Diana. Lois assumed Diana had the power of Invulnerability, but when she is hurt by one of the creatures Diana reveals she has a vulnerability to magic Lois jokes about the fact that Diana could have a discussion about that with her fiance. Diana is surprised of what kind of man could be worthy to be a stubble mate for a woman as strong and independent as Lois. The answer to that question comes in the door, as Superman arrives and defeats the creatures. Within minutes a group of D.E.O. agents, captained by Steve Trevor, also arrives. Diana flees before Steve can recognize her, but when Lois sees Trevor she reveals to Superman that he was her ex-boyfriend.
Lois's father arrives in Washington at the site of the church where she had battle mythological griffin before Superman's arrival. While Lois is catching up with Steve at the reflecting pool near the Washington Monument. Lois spots President Martinez's accompanied by his guards on a routine jog, her presence startles him as he runs off. Steve mentions how he never thought that the girl he use to date would cause The president to run and hide. Lois surges it off and asked about his involvement with D.E.O. Steve confirms his affliction with the department and credits Director Bones being the one to straightening him out he. Steve admits he still wonders whatever happened to the woman that brought him back from the island, with Lois teasing him about the experience and the girl he met on the same island.
Steve then asks about Lois's love life when he spots the ring on her finger thinking Wes Keenan finally popped the question but she says that is a stone best left unturned before saying the lucky man is none other than Clark Kent leaving Steve in a total shock of disbelief. Changing the subject Steve tells Lois he knows she didn't just bring him out for more than just catching up over coffee. Lois inquires what the connection is between the "Wonder Woman" she fought alongside and the US military which she seems to be investigating. Lois points out the facts so far with Wonder Woman being in the area to save Senator Kent, and her interest in the Lane family mostly her father. Steve surmises that Wonder Woman may be stalking Director Bones.
Lois arrives back to Martha's house after walking Shelby through DC. Martha and Lois asks about what progress Clark is making. He found that the fingerprints belong to Felix and that the prints were entered into the system from records collected in the forties. Clark tries contacting Tess but it is revealed for some reason she's offline but Martha was able to hack into the computer because " when the Red Queen takes down a shadowy organization, no one thinks to change their password". They find out Faust was part of shadowy Anti-Occult unit called "ShadowPact" that was formed in War World II along with Director Bones, who looks exactly as he does now, as well as Zatanna Zatara's father, John Zatara, who left the unit after the first mission, then they start to wonder if Diana was truly after Faust or if she was after Mister Bones. Clark then changes into Superman in order to get information with Lois following in her car.
Superman flies in the sky, while Lois is driving her car following Clark. He spots a fire, while talking to Lois by an intercom and says he has located Diana, with his telescopic vision, outside of Steve Trevor's apartment. He also tells Lois that Diana is taking care of a tank.
Later, after Diana gets arrested, Clark tells Steve to run away from the scene and meet Lois in an alley before he gets in trouble too.
In a parking lot, Lois argues with Steve Trevor and her father, General Lane, about Diana's arrest by D.E.O. Lois says they had no right to take her into custody but General replies that Diana is neither a citizen of the United States nor of anywhere else and they were only trying to prevent the things of getting out of control. Steve says that he actually does not know what has happened to Diana during all these years and Lois then says that she is a "Wonder Woman". The General ditches the conversation by saying that the world is changing too fast and that these super-powered beings have no one to represent them.
Later General Lane along with Lois and Steve are inside his car and while he is driving, they are trying to communicate with someone else but Lois says that the phones are out and neither Steve or the General can communicate with D.E.O., the General's Unit or the President's office. Suddenly they see undead people having been unleashed all over the city with horrified citizens running away from them. General Lane tries to avoid the undeads and comments on the communication problem by saying that an E.M.P. wasn't what caused all of this because the power is still on. Steve then, watching the zombies, blames Bones and his Black Room for the situation. Lois tries to communicate with Clark by whispering in chance of him listening to her with his super-hearing. Superman watching from above, freezes, with his artic breath, all the zombies that have surrounded the vehicle Lois is in, proving to her that he can hear her.
Inside General Lane's car, a harpy attacks the vehicle and grabs Steve Trevor abducting him and leaving the General and Lois horrified.
Later, Superman repairs the Washington Monument in front of thousands of people who admire him, and after changing to his civilian persona he goes to find Lois, who is very proud of him, in the crowd. They both know that tomorrow the world will be a different place, so they savor these moments by kissing.
Flying in space above Earth, Superman remembers his father's advice while listening to the world talk about his recent confession of being an alien. While trying to remember the three phrases his father told him, Lois sends him the third phrase in a text message, showing him she is there for him.
At Watchtower, Chloe, Tess, Clark and Lois discuss about Earth-2, which was presumably annihilated by the Monitors, and Clark wonders what crime could that Earth have committed to deserve to merit annihilation. Chloe says everything she knows about the alternate Earth and the Monitors but also informs them that the memories, that were transported to her from her doppelgänger never actually took root and she only gets fleeting glimpses. Tess informs them that Lex is preparing his jet to visit Moscow and Lois thinks of a way to sneak in as a press attaché and go to Russia with Lex so she can keep an eye on him. Clark then says he has a better idea and the proceeds to communicate with another member of the team, asking for a favour.
When Clark joins Luthor on his trip to Moscow, Lex is obviously disappointed having Kent accompanying him in his travel, saying that Lois Lane would be better company.
Chloe accompanies Lois at the Daily Planet and Lois says she shouldn't walk her here in her condition but Chloe says that she is not that pregnant. Lois asks about Oliver and Chloe says he is in San Francisco, where he just closed a deal for Queen Industries to provide financial assistance in rebuilding Pier 39. Chloe says the more they help cities get back on their feet after super-related disasters, like they did with Washington and San Francisco, the less crime will have the chance to take advantage of the situation. Then Lois asks her why she is in Metropolis with her than being out there and Chloe responds that she is just very bored.
Later, Chloe blankly stares at the skyline until Lois comes in and tells her they have a story to chase down in Gotham together.
Chloe and Lois arrive in Gotham City and they find Batman and Nightwing, who have been interrogating a criminal known as Zsasz, on a rooftop. Bruce seems to be a little surprised that the two women were able to trace him and then he invites them to the Batcave.
There, the two cousins get impressed by the amazing underground complex that Bruce has assembled. Bruce is investigating the murder of a man dressed as Superman, which clearly looks like a hate crime connotations against the aliens and the recent revelation of Superman about his origin. Batman is using his billion dollar computer to make a face reconstruction of the corpse based on photos from the crime scene, so they can identify the dead man but the results the computer shows leave everyone speechless, the face of the murdered man is none other than Clark Kent.Lois and Barbara walk through the streets of the rainy Gotham City, backtracking the final footsteps of the deceased "Clark Kent", whom the decided to call "Dave", and they talk about about Barbara's struggle to manage her personal life and the crime fighting on the same time. Barbara then asks Lois how she is so calm since the shocking revelation about the identity of the murder victim, back at the Batcave. Lois says that the victim's DNA was proven to be human so he can't be Clark and besides that she knows that her fiance is safe in Russia. Suddenly they are attacked by a gang of thieves but they both succeed to defeat the thieves and after that they discover an underground tunnel with footsteps coming out of it.
Lois, Chloe and Barbara are in the Batcave and are talking about where Chloe is going to raise her baby, with Barbara suggesting Gotham City but Chloe clearly disapproves. Lois asks Chloe if she is going to stay in Metropolis or move back to Star City, Oliver's home town, but Chloe says she has still some months to decide. Suddenly, they receive a message from Batman, telling them he's "going dark." Without a word, Barbara races out of the cave on a motorcycle.
In the Watchtower, Lois, Chloe, Clark and Tess read an article on the Daily Planet, tilted "The New Cold War" and written by Cat Grant, presenting Superman as a threat and even stating that the Monitor's ship was actually his. Lois is furious with Cat's article and gets even more angry because of the fact that Franklin Stern didn't publish her story about the murder in Gotham. Clark says that they have bigger problems to worry about as the danger of the "Crisis" hasn't passed yet. Suddenly Bruce appears and says that even though he knew that the man in Gotham wasn't actually Clark he is happy to see him standing on his feet. Moreover he says that because of the "Crisis" he has decided to join the team, at least temporarily, so they can face the threat together.
Some time later, Clark and Lois step out of the cinema, where they just watched a brand new superhero film. While they talk about the movie and the crisis, that still concerns Clark, a green light suddenly appears the sky. Seeing its trajectory and speed makes Clark worry for a possible attack. Clark can not tell what the object, wrapped in the green glow, is so he throws Lois on an abandoned old sofa in the street, when he realizes that the unknown object goes straight against him. Hit by the light, Clark is surrounded by green light and sees before him the projection of a being, who identifies himself as the Green Lantern, Tomar-Re. The alien says to Clark that if he is seeing him, it is because he has received his ring and his duty. Together they recite the oath of the Green Lanterns and when the light fades, Clark is revealed, wearing a green and black costume along with a glowing ring on his finger, which welcomes him to the Green Lantern Corps.
Clark tries using his heat vision and arctic breath in attempt to remove the ring while Lois is contacting Emil Hamilton at S.T.A.R. Labs for help. As Clark attempts to remove the ring, various constructs in the form of a jackhammer, a crowbar and a plunger appears which a confused Lois refers to as ghost props. A relieved Clark finally is able to remove it and throw it into the atmosphere where Emil begins to track it. As he does the ring makes a U-Turn back to Earth to Clark's finger which Clark flies to catch. Clark then hears a loud siren coming from Metropolis National Bank where he goes to intervene, telling Lois to inform Emil that they should worry about his wardrobe change later.
At Watchtower, John Stewart tells Clark that this isn't how it works, the rings are powered by the willpower of their wearers which is why they choose people like himself, Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan as Green Lantern Corps members. Lois and Tess disbelieve that John has a stronger will than them or any other of the 6 billion people on Earth, with Tess even wondering how did someone like Alan Scott got hold of one of their rings, with John admitting he doesn't know what loophole Alan used to get a ring of his own. Clark then questions what gives a Guardian or whoever is left the right to force other sentient beings into service. John says it doesn't matter, orders are orders and Superman is a soldier now.
At her office in the Daily Planet, Lois and Oliver hold a video-conference with Steve Trevor and Diana Prince of D.E.O. about the theft on their premises. They suspect that LexCorp had something to do with this as they routinely attempt to break D.E.O.'s firewalls in order to get access to the Russian crash site. Oliver asks what did they keep in the warehouse and Steve responds that there they kept debris that fell through the atmosphere during the contact with Apokolips, probably wanting to use these weapons like Intergang did a while back. They then say that D.E.O.'s mystics were able to conjure an image of the person responsible, an unidentified man wearing a big armor with highly advanced weaponry. Steve says that they dispatched Agent Chase and a field team their way and Oliver along with his "alter-ego" are invited to join the investigation. Suddenly, Lois and Oliver see a bright green light and realize that Clark is fighting something. Oliver asks her if she is worried about him and Lois says why should she be afraid, he is Superman after all.

The events of this day was erased when Jor-El reversed time after Lana was killed.
Season EightEditFollowing the aftermath of Chloe's disastrous wedding reception, Lois returned to Metropolis three weeks later during a rainstorm. Clark met her at the employee entrance of the Daily Planet trying to apologize for not picking her up at the airport like he had promised. Lois not interested in his excuses ignored him and then when Clark explained his reason for his absence by revealing he's the Red-Blue Blur, Lois laughed at him until he openly displayed his powers to her. Clark then proceeded to tell Lois about all of his other super abilities and his knowledge of Krypton because he wanted her to write his story in order to let the citizens see him for the hero he was rather than being blackmailed by Linda Lake. For a short time Clark was gladly accepted by the citizens of Metropolis, he and Lois were promoted to the top floor with a penthouse office of their own. Until Linda came up with a fabricated story that turned Clark into public enemy number one, Lois tried to see Tess to pled her case against Linda's fake story only to find Government agents waiting for her. Before they could arrest or question her, Clark supersped her away to the barn. Clark said that he could make everything go away by using the Legion ring, but Lois urged him to stay and fight back. She said that she understood his decision, but was disappointed that she would forget his secret, knowing that he wouldn't tell her the next time. Clark opened the toolbox and was exposed to kryptonite planted by Linda who came out of hiding and knocked Lois out. When Lois re-awoke she saved Clark by throwing the kryptonite away and then knocked Linda out. Clark grabbed the Legion ring as Lois answered her message from Chloe and began to tell Clark that Davis Bloome was Doomsday, but he disappeared in mid-sentence.
During Jimmy's 1940's inspired dream sequence, Lois was seen as a sexy lounge singer who had an affair with Lex Luthor.

Lois said it meant they're taking Lex to a bunker for one reason only: nuclear war. Lois wanted to paste the news all over the Daily Planet website, but didn't understand why Lex would want to destroy Earth. Clark noticed Milton Fine and said that he was the reason. Clark explained that he's not human, he's an android and that's why he didn't care. Clark started talking in circles about how he thought the world would be better and Lois was slightly confused. Lois then thought Clark's an android and Clark didn't deny it, but didn't say he was either. They then form a plan to stop Lex by attending the press conference held in Smallville. But first Lois suggested that Clark needed to disguise himself so he would blend in more. Lois handed him a spare suit, her press I.D. badge and to complete the look a pair of glasses.

In the ComicsEdit
Lois is Superman's chief romantic interest and, in the current DC Comics continuity, his wife. Like Superman’s alter ego Clark Kent, she is a reporter for the Daily Planet. Depictions of Lois Lane have varied in the nearly 70-year history of Superman comic books and other media adaptations.
In the current DC continuity, unlike the series, Lois never met Clark Kent before his arrival in Metropolis. Upon Superman's debut, she became highly infatuated with the Man of Steel and simply saw Clark as a foppish, clumsy co-worker. Eventually, she decided to date Clark, seemingly losing her infatuation for Superman, replacing it with serious love for her boyfriend. Clark proposed to her and she gladly accepted. Not long after this, Clark revealed his identity to her, which causes some shock for Lois, but she still said yes to his proposal. The two shared a lengthy engagement, which was broken off for a period, during which Lois left Metropolis to be a foreign correspondent for the Planet and came to truly accept the idea of being with Clark and Superman. She ultimately returned to Metropolis and became re-engaged and married to Clark.
Despite being "the secret wife of Superman", Lois is highly respected by Clark's associates in the super-hero community, both as his wife and as a reporter. Many people have often wonder why Superman would chose a mortal woman as his wife, when he could be with any number of super-powered equals that he knows. However, many like Wonder Woman, Batman, Martian Manhunter and many other have all stated that her fierce personality, motivation and unquestionable love and support for Clark, leaves with no question in their mind why Clark fell in love with her, and in fact believe her to be part of what makes him a great hero. Even Clark's own enemies such as Lex Luthor, have noted Lois to be an impressive woman, as she had made it a point to stand up against them, even without Superman there to protect her.
In the comic books she and Clark adopted Lor-Zod, General Zod and Ursa's son, which Lois names "Christopher Kent." In a heroic move, Chris sacrificed himself to bring the escaped criminals invading the Earth back to the Phantom Zone. Lois and Clark have been searching for a way to bring him back, with the help of Clark's friend Mon-El. Recently Lois discovered Chris has aged into adulthood in a matter of months due to his time in the Phantom Zone and became the new Metropolis superhero Nightwing. Despite the age-jump for Chris, Lois continues to behave in mother-fashion, insisting that Chris continue to call her 'Mom', and even questioning Chris about his relationship with the Flamebird. Both she and Clark were heartbroken when Chris was lost a second time following the War of New Krypton.
Lois is always a tough-as-nails journalist and intellectual equal to Superman. At first upon her introduction into the series in Season Four there was no guarantee for sure that Smallville was going to adhere to Superman mythology in which the couple were together, However as of Season Nine and the official confirmation from the producers for Season Ten have confirmed that Lois will end up with Clark.
Lois has shown she can fight for herself when she was trapped alongside Catwoman and the two managed to escape. Her other dealings with the Birds of Prey involved a tense standoff when she threatened to out Barbara Gordon as Oracle, and Barbara in turn threatened to reveal her husband's secret identity as Superman. Lois stood down.
In the controversial politically driven mini series, Decisions, it's revealed that Lois doesn't know Clark's personal politics. However, the book does allude that with her military background, she is a Republican, although she has been shown to have liberal leanings in regards to certain social issues such as gay marriage. At the conclusion of Superman: Brainiac Clark released the city of Kandor and it became a lifesize planet known as New Krypton, He felt that it was his responsibility to lead his people to live in peace with humanity by leaving earth and assuming the role of Commander Kal-El, before he left he told Lois that his heart belongs to her and her only and he would return once more to fly back into her arms. Superman took a leave of absence for a whole year during Superman: World of New Krypton he would briefly return to earth and be reunited with Lois to be brought up to speed on current events developing on earth. It wasn't until after the destruction of New Krypton by Lex Luthor and Lois's own father General Sam Lane that instigated a pointless War against Earth by General Zod in Superman: War of the Supermen that in the aftermath, Clark and Lois reunited and both reflect sadly on how New Krypton's appearance resulted in such a pointless war, Clark expressing his uncertainty about whether any Kryptonians are left in hiding on Earth while Lois promises to write the truth about her father's actions despite the media portraying him as a hero for his 'defensive action', hoping that someday humanity will be ready for interaction with other alien races.
Recently, following the War of the Supermen, Superman has taken to wandering the country, so as to re-evaluate his purpose on Earth. Lois has joined Clark at assorted points across America, often giving him advice and re-affirming his own resolve, as well as her own in regards to not having a normal family like.
In the New 52, Clark and Lois are not married and the pair shares a purely professional working relationship and are close friends, although Clark seems to have unrequited romantic feelings towards Lois. She views Clark as a friend and respects him as a journalist, but regards him as a loner who has difficulty letting people get close to him. She is also unaware that Clark Kent is Superman. Lois Lane now works for Morgan Edge, heading up the media division of the Daily Planet. has now return as a reporter to the Daily Planet, she is currently in a relationship with a foreign correspondent named Jonathan Carroll.
At some point, Lois investigates the story of twenty people who developed metahuman powers after being kidnapped by Brainiac. Her search leads her to a U.S. senator, who revealed to be one of the Twenty. The senator dies, but not before transferring his powers to Lois, who falls into a coma. Lois later awakes from her coma at the hospital, with Jonathan at her side. Lois manifests psychic powers and helps Superman fight the Psychic Pirate. During the fight, Lois learns that Clark is Superman but falls back into a coma. After defeating the Psychic Pirate, Superman brings Lois back to the hospital. Later, the Parasite attacks the hospital and attempts to steal Lois' powers. Superman tricks the Parasite into absorbing Lois' psionic energy. The power overwhelms the Parasite, causing him to collapse. Lois awakens from her coma but she does not seem to remember Superman's identity.

However, the ring is not present on her hand in the flash forward to 2017 in Homecoming, Al Septien confirmed that Lois & Clark are still married in 2017, and the absence of the ring is merely to keep their romantic lives separate from their professional lives during work hours.

In the flash forward sequence of 2018 on May 13 seven years later Lois and Clark decide to have another public ceremony.
