The Metropolis Journal is a well-respected newspaper in Metropolis. Unlike the Metropolis Inquisitor, it is not a tabloid.

Carrie Castle was a reporter for the Metropolis Journal. She was sent to Smallville by Lionel Luthor to write an expose about Lex Luthor that would discredit him. Lex arranged a position as Managing Editor of the Journal for her, if she would rewrite the story. It was an offer she couldn't refuse.
