Mr.Woodruff was a teacher at Excelsior Academy while Lex was a student there.

Season ThreeEdit

When Lex suffered a breakdown following the death of his brother Julian, Woodruff led Lionel Luthor to the room nearest the part of the roof that Lex had climbed out onto. Woodruff explained that Lex grew hysterical if anyone approached him and claimed to be protecting Julian.

Lionel insisted he was capable of handling the situation and Woodruff reluctantly left him alone.
