Super hearing

Super hearing is the ability to hear sounds not normally audible to humans. This includes extremely quiet sounds, as well as sounds made from a very far distance.

Kara Kent has displayed this ability twice. Kara, Cure.

Brainiac displayed this ability in Persona.

Lindsey Harrison displayed this ability, when she heard Agent Frank Loder from a great distance.

Many Kryptonians have super hearing. The ability appears to require active effort. There have been several times that Clark could've used passive super hearing to find hidden people near him, but failed to do so (e.g. he failed to hear the geek hiding behind a curtain on Oliver Queen's jet in Bride, and to hear Gina in the Isis Foundation in Descent).

Beings with super hearing are sometimes more vulnerable to sonic screams.

Clark Kent had trouble when Nathan Dean used his sonic scream. (Whisper)

Clark's ears even bled when he was attacked by Black Canary. (Siren)
