Although most metahumans received their powers and abilities from green kryptonite, Clark's vulnerability or immunity towards them seems to be random and arbitrary.

I don't think this is true. I've listed out Clarks vulnerability and immunity to several metahumans, and I think there is a pattern. I just can't put my finger on it. I thought it might be physical vulnerability and mental immunity, but that's not exactly it. I look forward to the insights of other contributors.-Samantha's Mom 17:49, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

I wrote a lot of vulnerability section when I overhauled the Clark Kent page last fall, (Don't worry, I don't care that you just copy-pasted the whole thing over here- I think it's a good idea since the Clark page is so long) and I added that because I just couldn't find a pattern that explained why he was affected by some metahumans but not others. It's possible different metas have differing amounts and concentrations of kryptonite in their systems. Tina Greer, for instance, had enough in her bones that Clark could see it with X-ray vision. As for the mental powers, some might be better attuned to his Kryptonian brain than others-- there's a lot of variables involved. --Noclevername 23:22, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
