[edit] New recap
- I wrote an original recap. I dunno if it's better than the TV.com one but at least it's original. Needs screencaps though. Marikology 02:27, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Nice, I checked it this morning after last night's show and saw nothing interesting. The new one is much improved. Nescio sed Scio 03:36, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thought
No edit to the page itself, but a thought regarding Chloe's meteor infection. She was previously (albeit briefly) given abilities in season 3's "Truth". It may have been cured, but does anyone think Tobias and the doc may have just detected this previous (albeit dormant) mutation? Or is it something completely different?
[edit] Featured Article January 2008
Freak is the fifteenth episode of Season Six. It aired on February 15, 2007. Freak was written by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer and is Michael Rosenbaum's directorial debut. It was viewed by 4.76 million viewers.
In this episode, Chloe Sullivan and Clark Kent learned the full extent of Lex Luthor's Level 33.1 project when they discovered he was abducting, tracking, and systematically destroying meteor-infected individuals. Lex employed Dr. Robert Bethany to manipulate Clark and Chloe's former classmate, Tobias Rice into identifying "meteor freaks". Tobias was blinded in the 2005 meteor shower but was able to see meteor-infected people because they emitted a unique glowing blur. It was revealed by Tobias that Chloe was meteor infected, and she was abducted and experimented on.
Clark and Chloe's boyfriend Jimmy Olsen began a frantic search for her but were shocked when she reappeared a day later seemingly fine. However, Chloe realized that she was being tracked and Clark located a GPS chip embedded into her shoulder. He was able to use his heat vision to remove the chip before Chloe's scheduled termination.
In the meantime, Lana Lang discovered Tobias' involvement and assumed that he was going to reveal Clark as a meteor freak. She asked Tobias not to disclose Clark's secret, but was puzzled when Tobias said Clark was normal. Tobias expressed regret at helping Lex and Dr. Bethany. Clark arranged for him to get his vision restored to normal through a cornea transplant with the help of Oliver Queen. Lana directly asked Lex if he was involved but he denied any part in it. However, it was revealed that he was, in fact, monitoring Chloe but his ultimate motivations were not revealed.
Chloe was devestated by her newly-diagnosed meteor infection status and worried that she would either die or go insane like the other metahumans she encountered. Clark vowed to help her control her abilities if she ever manifested any.
Chloe's meteor-rock ability was revealed several months later in Phantom as the ability to empathetically heal others.
