[edit] Relationships

  • Jor-El has had at least two relationships. One with Louise before he married Lara, and a second relationship with Lara-El/Lara Lor-Van. Raya also hinted (her tone of voice) that she liked Jor-El as more than just a assistant. Should we put up a Relationships section in the article? Just a thought, I'm just trying to improve an article any way I can.
I agree that those details would improve the article. However, I'd refrain from adding the Raya reference, cos it could be up for debate. I didn't feel like she had romantic feelings for him at all; I got the feeling of great respect/admiration.Marikology 00:00, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't think there was anything going on between Raya and Jor-El. I agree with a relationship section, though. --Stressed dessert 05:13, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
I belive that Raya abd Jor-El did have feelings for each other but nothing romantic between them! ~ Awar 20:25, 21 March 2008 (UTC).

[edit] Personality section

Anyone think we should add a personality section to the "Jor-El" article? Kalel32688 23:55, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Kalel32688

Yah def! This whole page actually needs some serious work... a Personality section would be a great start! :-) --Kanamekun 03:23, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Here's some things that might help.
  • Exodus: Jor-El introduces himself to Clark, and urges him to fulfill his destiny. He also burns the Mark of El onto Clark's chest.
  • Relic: Clark learns that Jor-El was on Earth in 1961, fell in love with Louise McCallum, met Hiram Kent, and apparently had issues with his own father.
  • Memoria: Jor-El tells Lara that Kal-El's destiny is set, as is theirs.
  • Covenant: Jor-El uses Lindsey Harrison to lure Clark to him, disintegrates her and threatens to kill Jonathan if Clark doesn't enter the portal.
  • Crusade: Clark is returned to Earth, brainwashed by Jor-El as Kal-El of Krypton.
  • Sacred: Jor-El reveals to Clark why he sent him to find the Stones of Power—to save Earth.
  • Commencement: Jor-El tells Clark the meteor shower is his fault and urges him to unite the stones.
  • Hidden: After resurrecting him, Jor-El tells Clark he will always love him.
  • Vessel: Jor-El tells Clark that he knows he is still angered over losing Jonathan, but gruffly insists that he (Jor-El) is Clark's father.
  • Zod: Jor-El tells Martha how to defeat Zod and conveys his gratitude towards Martha for her raising Clark. Also in the episode, Raya refers to Jor-El as a "great man", and General Zod tells Clark that he's "an idealistic fool—just like your father."
  • Fallout: Raya describes Jor-El as "brave" and having "the biggest heart of anyone I'd known."
  • Kara: Kara mentions the House of El was a "dysfunctional family" and that Jor-El and his brother Zor-El never really talked.
  • Lara: Zor-El tells Lara that "Jor-El's blood runs too cold to be a father."
  • Blue: Zor-El describes Jor-El as a "feeble-minded pacifist" and stated to Clark, "The weak must be sacrificed for the greater good—something your father could never understand." Also in this episode, Jor-El traps Clark in a block of ice for a long period of time as punishment.
  • Kara and the Chronicles of Krypton: Jor-El tries to stop the ignition of Krypton's core. In the final part, he laments that he will never see Kal-El grow old.

Hope this helps. Feel free to add anything. - Kalel32688 (5 November 2008)

[edit] Images

Anyone think we should get rid of some of the images on the Jor-El page? - Kalel32688 (18 August 2008)

Sure! Some of them don't really show Jor-El or a manifestation of Jor-El... they're just pictures of someone in the Fortress talking to Jor-El. Maybe we cut those? Or did you have something else in mind... --Kanamekun 00:00, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Terence Stamp really needs to do a guest appearance ON-SCREEN. THAT would help a lot. - Kalel32688 (5 November 2008)

[edit] Jor-El guided the ship?

Is there confirmation of this? --Kanamekun 02:15, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Julian Sands

So there's now some promo pictures out of Julian Sands as Jor-El for the up-coming episode 'Kandor'. Should we use one of those as Jor-El's picture now? --SuperBlahBlah 21:02, October 27, 2009 (UTC)

  • I think so... unless maybe it's a spoiler to some people. --Swedish-El 18:23, November 3, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Jor-El through Out the Seasons

Alright, in season 3 young Jor-El looks like Clark. The AI of him has Terence Stamps voice and now he's being played by Julian Sands. Is there a logical ecplanation for the huge changes in appearence and voice?

The AI is different from the physical version of Clark... maybe they couldn't program the voice quite right? But unclear why Tom Welling and Julian Sands could look so different! --Kanamekun 22:25, November 3, 2009 (UTC)
