Why doyou want to delete this page?

It's a proper list of smallvilles villains per season.Adriano1995 17:41, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

This page shouldn't be deleted. It could work really well if some work was put into it. The only reason I can find that this page has a deletion tag on it is because it hasn't got much in it at the minute but that is to be expected because it is a new page, there wouldn't be half as many pages on this wiki if that was the policy, just leave it for a while and then decide if it's worth keeping or not.Zodisgod 18:49, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

Delete or change the name[]

I don´t think that the name "Big Bad" is correct for the page as it is a term derived from Buffy. Besides producers have never stated that the villains in the page are called as Big Bads. Lex and Lionel Luthor are the main antagonists of Smallville and others like Brainiac, or Bizarro are only secondary characters that serves to tell some history related to Lex or Lionel. And for over all, I seriously don´t think that a tornado or especially "Tina Greer"(wft!) can be called the Big Bad of Season 1. I think that a better use for the page would be "Seasons story arc" and put in them the villain of turn, like this:

Season 1[]

Main Villian: Freak of the week, Roger Nixon. Suport antagonist: Lionel Luthor Key story arcs: The key story arc, the tornado story arc.
While season 1 was more about clark's discoveries but smallville's creators didn't stop from using some recurrying villains each season, the first recurrying villains appeared in X-Ray with the 1st appearance of Roger Nixon and Tina Greer, Tina would make another appearance during Season 2 while Nixon would appear in 4 more episodes as somewhat of the first season's villain as he became a powerful threat for knowing Clark's secret and returning as a menace for some episodes and even in season 2, his death also marked Lex and the Kents.

Season Two[]

Main Villian: Lionel Luthor Suport antagonist: Jor-El Key story arcs: the kawache caves story arc, the key story arc.
Season 2 tried to be closer in terms of timeline and storyarc as it had 3 villains, the first one was Kal, a personality of Clark when he enters in contact with Red Kryptonite, he only appeared for 3 episodes this season but as Kal is Clark Kent's will and this is what made Clark run away from Smallville in the end of Season 2 he is mainly considered the main villain of this season. Ethan Miller only appeared as a villain during the middle of season 2 for only one episode, however he is considered a main villain because he used to be a very recurrying character and it is possible that he may have been watching Jonathan's moves for some time before his plan entered into motion. Frederick Walden is a linguist whose minor appearances rival the ones from Roger Nixon, if Miller may be considered the first half of season 2 villain then Walden would be the secound half's villain since he discovered a lor of Clark's secrets and would be a reason for Clark getting out of town.

So, what think? RoR-El 17:09, October 3, 2010 (UTC)

I like that, as for the tornado and Tina Greerm the tornado counts a bit because the creators took some ideas of that comic i mentioned and because it's storyline lasted for 2 episodes, as for Tina i don't care, she was somewhat of a lesser known character, other villains are not only to build Lex and Lionel, when Rosenbaum got out they made smallville's later season into more of a buffy's villain per season aproach, a villain here normally counts when they buil clark's destiny or an impact but they should normally be villains whose appearances make storyarcs or are something important for that season, in this case the tornado somewhat of takes that responsibility. This works well because there is more of a focus on the story arcs these characters were involved in, but it should still be called "Big Bad" because that is essentially what they are, even if in most cases they don't last a full season like they did in Buffy, and the tornado does count because it was a big threat, even if wasn't a sentient being like the others and it does have precident in the comics, something which this wiki places a big emphasis on. | completelly agree with Zodisgod, but for this page to continue i'll need some help from others. Adriano1995 16:38, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

Also, for season 2 i consider that the main villain was Kal, clark kent's other personality since it was about how clark handled with his abilities.Adriano1995 21:05, October 9, 2010 (UTC)

Delete[]

Change of mind! I support the delete tag of this page! is a useless! RoR-El 16:38, October 9, 2010 (UTC) Why do you support the deletion of this page?

If more help me then this page is going to be much bether, what do you say? Adriano1995 21:14, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Name change[]

While I agree this page shouldn't be deleted (It is a very well put together source of all the villains of Smallville), I definitely think the name should be changed. Smallville has never used the term "Big Bad". --SuperBlahBlah 10:48, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Someone delete what I had written. Illyriarocks can you be more careful please? If you don't know how to edit a page, I recommend you don't touch it. Thanks! RoR-El 10:09, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, the name should be changed but i think that it should go to something like Season Villains, and by the way, as for season 1 i think the tornado should count and Morgan Edge should be featured in season 3 as a secoundary villain or a season villain since he was in fact the main villain in the first half of the season. We should let the main story of the villains for each season but we shoould also put again the listing of each season villains like when this page began because it was very helpfull without the need to click down to see the images and the full story. Adriano1995 18:14, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
I like the Season Villans name can it be changed to that it works really well.Zodisgod 19:04, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
So, have we considered this name change yet? 'Cause "Big Bad" is really not the best choice for the name. --SuperBlahBlah 15:40, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

Merger with Main Antagonists[]

I suggest we merge this article with "Main Antagonists" or change the name as such, update and have more information on individual characters and their influence on the season. Eg: Dasaad is in the other known villains section when he should be considered along with the other prophets of Darkseid to be in the main section. There is more than three main villains per seasons and need to be changed as such.

It seems to me that the two pages compliment each other nicely an Main Antagonists makes more sense to me as a name because there arent really any Big Bads on this show like there was on Buffy, so ill say yes to the mergeZodisgod 20:19, April 30, 2011 (UTC)

Very well, but the information of this article should remain intact with a nice organization of what can be considered each season's villain, as can be seen already, the information from Main Antagonists could be organised to go to the end of this page Adriano1995 22:01, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

This page is basically for each season's villains, for now it shall be titled Season Antagonists, any objection, specify it

Adriano1995 22:19, December 4, 2011 (UTC)

If Not[]

If you don't want to merge or change feel free to delete the article "Main Antagonists" however I definately think that we should chance the name to "Main Antagonists". The term "Big Bad" sounds odd and unprofessional.
