Is it just me, or did anyone else think that the whole Kryptonian vessel thing was cool, and worth the effort?

I absolutely love that they decided to put Kryptonian vessels into this series. I mean, come on, you have to admit, Jonathan Kent having a Kryptonian's (Jor-El's) abilities was pretty cool... I also liked that Lionel was made an oracle and later an emissary of Jor-El, and their bond was so great that the crystals embedded within the Fortress led Zor-El to Lionel.
